The guys carear really has gone downhill since he left us! Still least he got his big pay day! Career wise the grass wasn't greener for old jacky boy aka the helmet, but brass wise he'll of coined it in since leaving town.

Dont get the underlying resentment for a young lad wanting to reach a higher level in his career and earn himself much more money in the process.
Would any of you NOT do that in your own jobs?
sad for him that he got a bad injury at the worst possible time and that his career has stalled somewhat as a result. he was a good player for us and doesn't deserve this animosity for doing what all of us would have done.

I think the issue is how he went about pushing for the move to happen. No problem with him moving to a better level but there are certain ways of going about it. Not exactly covered himself in glory.

Maybe, i don't know not being involved but fair to say there are rumours the club weren't happy with his attitude. Ok, I'll accept that but bare in mind this was a young lad with people ( agents ) waving promises of life changing fortunes and top flight football at him. It would take a very strong character in a kid of that age to not get his head turned IMO. Maybe Hunt isn't that strong a character. I doubt I would be either, even now, never mind when i was 21 or whatever. I'd hope Hunt himself, being older and wiser now would look back and wish hed not sulked about it when the club wouldn't sell him initially.
But c'mon. This is one of our own who performed really well for us for 2 or 3 years and who we made a big transfer fee on. Don't think he deserves people being all gleeful that his career has not gone well since.

And he`s still laughing all the way to the bank. Good luck to him- - -I still remember his first start against Arsenal.

Can't fault Hunt wanting to leave to play at a higher level. The grief he gets in quite frankly pathetic and what Hoyle said about Hunt in the q and a was quite frankly unprofessional. I'd take him back here in a shot and judging by Forest fans so would they. I think you are calling the wrong guy unprofessional! If you behave like a big kid then you deserve the flak........Rhodes wanted to go, so did pilks and more recently clayton. They all did it with a touch of class performing right until they left.....silly jack didn't. Shame as the lad is an ok right back at this level. Clayton didnt

Don't think there's any glee cap'n...........more a disappointment that a talented young lad treated our club and it's hierarchy with a bit of contempt. Nobody begrudges anybody bettering themselves - but the best way to do it is to do what Rhodes did.....be excellent week in week out and earn the move, not throw the teddies out. Only those involved know what went on, but dean was and has remained adamant since that he was v disappointed with his effort and application. It's a massive shame because for all his weaknesses he could probably do a decent job for us.
