All over back pages of morning newspapers - Liverpool to sign Danny Ings before end of deadline. Burnley wanted Wells to replace him earlier (it was rumoured to be said)- how would Town cope if it happened. Which striker would be our new target?

Diego Costa lined up to replace Wells. He is not good enough for Town - gets banned too frequently !

If they paid ÂŁ2.25m for Jutkiewicz then by their conversion rates Wells is worth ÂŁ1.5 billion.

cant see us selling because genuinely think we would not have a replacement lined up, we dont even know who we want now when were apparently after a striker

A little misleading .. " all over back pages" regarding ings not wells .. I hugely doubt burnley would sign wells to replace ings

The Bermudian would be very very underwhelmed if he went there

We'd want more for Wells than the mooted fee for Ings. It's a pity they didn't convince him to sign a new deal last year when they were going well, though I doubt they were gonna pay him the money his agent says he can get elsewhere.

Can't see us selling our only experienced championship striker that isn't injury prone this far on in the transfer window

Absolutely no chance of this happening if we'd signed a couple of strikers id have said it would be very much possible!

No chance. Town NEVER sell their best striker. Ever.
Not since Alex Jackson. Or Law. Or Worthington. Or Shearer. Or Maskill. Or Roberts. Or Booth. Or Stewart, or Rhodes anyway.
(Someone please full in the blanks, I've reduced myself to a blubbering wreck).

Would be a poor move for Nahki. Couple of starts in the PL towards the end of this season, but then back down in the Championship. Would be far better cementing himself at this level and then making the jumpto a newly promoted side in the summer (e.g. boro)
