Not a great day out. Wasn't a 3-0 game but don't let our goal attempts fool you. We looked pretty toothless. Miller should have done better second half and their keeper made a good save but overall we didn't do enough in the last third.
Amazing support. Shame we never seem to win when we get a big following

Full time at Leeds, which means we end the day sitting in 14th place on 42 points. 11 clear of the drop.
Good position to be in.
Edit - 14th, thanks for the correction chaps.

Full time at Leeds, which means we end the day sitting in 13th place on 42 points. 11 clear of the drop. Good position to be in. 14th, dropped below Brum after Charlton's 3rd went in. Do agree it's a solid position to be in though.

Bottom line was that we were not as up for it as they were. 20 odd thousand fans and they did it for them. They were better but also had loads more desire than we did.

its not losing.. its losing so badly.. if you accept the large ups and downs then crack on.. if you think this bodes well for our future then fine.. if hoping to finish above leeds is enough, then ok.. if you think that watching carefully what the bottom teams are doing or care more about what other teams are doing or not doing, fair enough.. if you didn't see it coming, you might have to rethink what you think you know about football.. Stop being so melodramatic!!! The ups and downs are this league - boro concede 2 at wed who hardly score at all, derby get beat at Fulham, Leeds 2 up and lose, forest couldn't buy a win and now won 5 in 6....................we are a mid table side probably lower end than upper. Where are we in the league?! If somebody had told me after 3/4 games we'd be 11 pts off the drop zone with 12 to play I'd have asked for a fleet of ambulances for them!!!!! Question for you - if we finish the season where we are now - is that progress or not?! If you say no then I suggest you need a head check. It's a really a disappointing day today ---- but a win 2 draws and a defeat in last 5 suggest lower mid table team and that's what we are. By all means criticise if we don't improve the squad in the summer, but assuming we stay around where we are and have trimmed the wage bill and squad size as we have done = v good effort considering our appalling start.

It appears that we need 3 in the middle away from home. We found it difficult to handle Watt - I wonder why Celtic let him go - a far better bet than Miller, and I still wonder why we brought Edgar in. But they weren't the reason we lost - it was poor decision making - for instance when Miller should have put the ball out to Scannell. But after that performance, one wonders where we're going to get the quality in that we need to push for the top six, when we aren't prepared to shell out for quality players like Wilson (Bournemouth) and Afobe - and we are notorious for being poor payers.

Before the meltdown begins just wanna say that was the best away day I've had in ages. Our fans was were fucking quality and put their 'sell out' crowd to shame. Football believe it or not isn't all about your team winning, it's about the passion, supporting your team to the end even when they're shite and having a good laugh.

Spot on Sudbury. The lack of a holding midfielder cost us dear today. Felt a bit sorry for the defence as they had players running through at them all the time. Thoughtbutterfield and Hogg did fine as individuals but we needed someone sitting behind them Ian's in front of the defence. Edgar and scanned looked poor as a pairing down the right. Thought Miller had a decent game as well. Lolley got 20 mins but was easily knocked off the ball. A system failure for me. Started 3-4-1-2 but then morphed into a right mess.

Exactly...and yet when we try to get things going at the JSS the usual response to why our crowd is so quiet is because of the football on the pitch and 'there's nothing to cheer about' .... true fans make a noise whatever is going on at the pitch...whether you're in a touchline stand or behind the goals like most away days... We need a change in mindset to make things happen at the JSS...support the NSL for one...get in there and fill that end...starting with the Rotherham game....

Why was the crowd so big? Freebies? Are we the only team in the division without any proper internationals? Miles away arent we? The odd win cannot paint over the cracks for me. They are more by default. Top performances this season, was there one?
