I don't think its too much to ask for free coaches once a season, its not a bad idea to be fair. Its all take take take by football clubs at times, although I don't expect anything back from them, its nice to reward the fans loyalty at times. Old Bazza Rubberneck put on some free coaches upto Sunderland all them years ago and we took loads. In what way is it take take take? No one forces you to be a fan, buy a ticket eat a pie sup a pint. The club takes nothing from you that you don't voluntarily pay. This isn't a welfare organization, its a business. Try going in to B&Q and asking for some free nails, just because you go in there from time to time.

Although it'd be a nice gesture and the club should acknowledge the support in some way I don't think a reward is appropriate. We are supporters not customers (and ask to be treated as such), can't be expected to be reimbursed like you would for a meal that was shit. Lower ticket prices across the board however might make people feel better after watching performances like that yesterday. Make no mistake we are customers first. In the eyes of the clubs, Sky and the FA yes.

Yet some stewards at games do this,if you went to b and q and what you paid for is defective would you go back? Or go watch a poor film or show twice? No,but as football fans we go week in week out whatever the performance. True no one forces us to but clubs no we will through blind loyalty, if we didn't 90per cent of clubs would fold within months.

If you go to Sainsburys, you might get a buy one get one free, or the price might be reduced. I can collect Nectar points at Sainsburys too and get money of my shopping. What do football clubs for their fans? Ok they reduce prices for cup ties only cos they know people wouldn't turn up and if they could get away with charging full price, they would.

Charlton attracted 10,000 extra fans with the vastly reduced entrance fee which just goes to show how football has become unaffordable or overpriced for some. Those 23,000 Charlton fans became the twelth man , and were a massive factor in their win. The club must reap some kind of reward for these low gate prices, as yesterdays performance must have attract some fans for their next home matches who otherwise would not have been in attendance.

Can't understand where you're coming from with that. They barely made a whimper from start to finish.

Were you there Sugs? Did you hear anything from those 23,000 Charlton fans because I didn't. Town outsang them for 90 minutes... Twelfth man my arse! If they do reap the reward of extra fans through that performance, that will only go to show it wasn't the price putting them off surely.

The twelth man was when the team gets that extra incentive to play well for a decent crowd instead of empty seats.

You don't see anything beyond the football do you? Take those blinkers off mate. Season card prices out soon, lets see how much they do for the fans.

I expect to see some decent value again.

The big question is how many Charlton fans attended their " first ever match " due to affordable prices especially in families. Every fan has to start somewhere ,and what a perfect opportunity for the club to promote itself with the welcomed return of club icon Chris Powell. Every club must be looking to " somehow " attract what will be the fans of the future , and that might become alot more clearer when season cards are due for both sale and renewal.

I was proud of the Town fans yesterday. Sang for 90 minutes and gave great support. Singing '2-0 down and we're having a laugh' takes some balls and put a smile on my face.

If you go to the theatre 26 times would you expect free parking and a free glass of wine at the interval. We go to away days and buy our season tickets by choice hoping for good games or entertaining days out. The only thing where we do deserve better treatment is when TV moves a game with less than 12 weeks notice after we have all bought our cheap train tickets, buts that's for TV to compensate not the club. People need to remember running a football club is a business not a charity to entertain us.

If you go to a concert or a show and the actors do not perform you would get your money back -what the club could give us is a team that is worthy of our support the support yesterday was tremendous the team needs to match the passion and energy of our away support

But if you dont like b and q you can go to wicks or home base, following a football team, any team,is different, you cant change who you support simply cos you dont like their products, you can but then you were never a true supporter in the first place, you are stuck with them...if your badly treated by the greeter at qa store would you go back? True no one forces us to but clubs no we will through blind loyalty, if we didn't 90per cent of clubs would fold within months. IMHO this is by far the best post on this thread. Those who state that Town are just a business are completely & utterly missing the point IMHO. Yes the organisation needs to be run in a business-like manner but above everything we are supposed to be a CLUB. FFS the clue is in our name. As supporters, our loyalty towards our club goes way beyond that of a mere business (who on here ever chucked money in a bucket because any other business were facing financial difficulties? - Yeah thought so Nobody). The bond between us and the organisation is way more than that of the normal business-customer relationship & surely no-one could argue that the organisation benefits from that. If the organisation (& the football industry generally) forgets this fundamental point and alianates us as supporters by treating us as just "customers" then in the long run undoubtedly they will lose out. From my experiences & more so than at any other point in the 40+ years I've supported the club we feel much more like a business than a club. What is worse is that even for a business, the organisation handles its customer's badly (HTFC's customer service is IMHO by a country mile the worst of any business that retains my custom).

The support yesterday was amazing over 2000 for an away match with nothing riding on it is brilliant I have suggested it before but these fans should get some form of reward for such loyal support. If it's not priority for away tickets then I think the club should at least once a year put on free travel for the fans. Come on Town free coaches to Birmingham and let's make it a great away day www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/norwich-city-huddersfield-tickets-free-coach-travel-2325257.aspx
