When you read comments like this about Charlton's performance, it makes you feel angry and ashamed at the ineptness of Town's response.
'Pressing with energy and determination, passing with class and constantly threatening in the final third, this was an outstanding attacking performance. And with the unplayable Watt reducing Huddersfield's defence to quivering wrecks each time he drove forward in addition to an overall threat on the break, a second was always likely'.
Mr Hoyle should send a copy of these words to all the players and coaching staff and ask them what the hell they're going to do about it, because that performance was totally unacceptable.

Sounds like Watt was electric yesterday, especially against a flat defence!

Derby got beat by Fulham Boro got beat by sheff w Brentford by brum Didn't Bournemouth get beat too ?
Shit happens. We don't need a letter to Dean hoyle every time we lose ... Ffs some people on here would prefer us playing in the unibond racking up unbeaten runs Will we need letters to hoyle if we get into the prem and are getting spanked every week ?

We all know that plans are in place for some recruitment over the Summer to make a positive charge for the play offs next season.

It's still not Powell's team FFS...
Give the guy a chance to have a FULL summer & pre-season still be a lot of movement of players in and out then

Any game in this league, apart from shocking Blackpool is totally unpredictable, We beat forest and Watford easily at home but shocking v Wolves and poor V Leeds really It just sounds we were not really up for it. Big week now at Griffin park then I'm hoping we stuff Rotherham and Wardy.

What a load of bull! We're mid table, that's what mid table teams do. They win 1, loosr 1. Get over it man. This time last season we couldn't win corner!

The one thing i have come to accept in my life long following of this club is to " be prepared for the unexpected ". Towns inconsistency means nobody knows the outcome on match days , and just one reason why they are the bookies favourite team for fcuking up football forcast coupons . The one thing i did notice is how Charlton made football affordable for everybody , and surely attracting an extra 10,000 fans for a low cost nothing at stake game was some kind of statement in itself.

The £5 offer was great to entice more fans in.. Prob not able to sustain it all season but good nevertheless.
Imagine being a Reading fan though this morning... Lost the last two games 0-3 home AND away!

And drama queen of the weekend goes to...... Sudbury. The division is topsy turvy we may well get turned over again on tuesday but look whats happening reading after a good run lose two on the trot and concede six goals and yes we were poor yesterday and believe me there will be plenty of twists and turns before the season ends and like a lot of clubs we have work to do to stay up but the overreaction on here never fails to amaze.

In the fact he hasn't brought the majority of players IN.. Miller, Edgar It was his team the minute he signed his contract. Technically yes agreed.. However he's got rid of the deadwood that Robins & even Clark had brought in and not moved on.. Hoping he can bring further additions in aka CB/LB (if don't get to keep Robinson) & CF

Time to rename the club.....from The Terriers to The Lurchers?
It seems that, with every other game, the performance lurches from pretty good to pretty bad to great to dire to..................

Miller is good imo. We need a type of striker like him.
As for Poyet when he got him, very very average, nosebleed going forward. Edgar, very average, apparently very poor yesterday.

Hoping he can bring further additions in aka CB/LB (if don't get to keep Robinson) & CF I think you need to keep improving the squad all the time. There will be no big lash of cash in the summer. I think he needs to get more out of the squad he currently has in terms of consistency of selection and approach - I guess that's stating the bleeding obvious. Maybe CP doesn't see it like that. He seems to like to pick a system/approach for the occasion. Sometimes its right like v Reading and sometimes its wrong like v Charlton. I guess he will be judged in the long term on whether he gets it right more often than not. I don't think he has the approach that I'll pick my best 11 and play a certain way throughout the season - or not yet!

In the fact he hasn't brought the majority of players IN.. Miller, Edgar It was his team the minute he signed his contract. I would say he inherited a squad of players from which he has to select his team but I have no doubt the squad in the summer will go through significant reshaping which IMO will mean he will be responsible for our squad. I think we can all be comfortable calling it Powell's squad next season.

David Taylor yesterday said the only changes in the summer will be on a like for like basis ie no one comes unless someone goes - so don't expect a major reshaping.

We're competing with a lot of ex-prem teams still on parachute payments. You don't always need huge amounts of cash to have success (sure it helps!).. But I have faith in CP and our recruitment team that we can get some wheeling & dealing done maybe unearth a gem that's stuck on the footy scrap heap.. Similar to Millers story

The trouble with football is the other team always try and win as well.....it's just not fair ! I know! I don't remember agreeing to that when I decided to support a football club!! How dare the other side play well against us! Thats not in the rules, is it? I just presumed that we would play fantastically well every game we played. I can only presume Powell TOLD them to play poorly. He must have deliberately sent them out to lose- what other explanation can there be?? Thats just not acceptable and I intend to send dean hoyle a strong letter of complaint about it, and suggest he pins it on the dressing room wall so the manager and players can read it too, and not let this discraceful thing happen again!
