Barnsley a few weeks ago issued an apology after a dreadful performance I understand they refunded fans.

They can apologise by beating Brentford on Tuesday.

The over reaction on this forum is laughable at times, both when we win and when we lose.

We lost and we lost badly but at the end of the game, we were all singing etc and I'm sure the players and cp really appreciated that.
For 50 odd quid for tickets and travel, plus say £100 on the day, me and my lad had a great day out.
But I still think Wallace was/is shit!
Would have preferred a different result but the town fans were immense and for £150 for a good day out, I'm ok with that.
Like someone said earlier, repay us by beating Brentford then rovrum at home.

Exactly. Personally, I don't think he is championship quality unless he improves significantly.

to be fair, I was not one of Scanz biggest fans a while ago but since CP arrival, he has been a revelation, so fair play to him for that.
Trouble is that we rely on him too much which makes our attacking very predictable and will also burn the lad out.
Wondered about loaning someone but when lolley came on yesterday, Scanz was able to switch to the left and IMO that's a good thing to be able to do in games.
Wallace needs to improve to stay in the team though.

I thought he skipped past Hudson far too easily more than he turned Wallace too easily.
Edit: Snap with Doc Halladay.

Exactly. Personally, I don't think he is championship quality unless he improves significantly. Yet in the clean sheets against Cardiff and Reading he looked every bit a Championship defender being untroubled by £8m Jones and once £11.25m Yakubu. I believe the whole team deserves criticism for yesterday's performance but as per the usual scapegoats are ripe to have a go at.

You pay your money you take your chances. In general I find football a good day out spoiled by the 90 minutes inbetween!!!
No need for the club to apologise its a occupational hazard, everyone knows what can happen, if you think your owed an apology or a refund, stop going as it doesn't work like that. Just come on here and vent your spleen. I think sometimes the club gets better support than it deserves away from home at times but away days are a good day out, so maybe just concentrate on that.

Too right it was poor team defending and set up from Powell that led Hudson and Wallace to be exposed with forwards/midfielders belting at them. I thought Wallace's general game was ok yesterday and he's improved a lot.

Is it just me that finds the very existence of this thread an insult to the club.
Whilst it's fair to say this forum brings out the best in our fans on a regular basis it also showcases the stupidity of others.
Their first and third goals were pure quality. Their second had a fair element of luck I thought despite our defending being poor. Apologies and refunds? Fuck me, whatever next?

Wallace gets a raw deal from some folk. Lets not forget he's only just turned 22 and the more he plays the better he'll get. If we play 3 at the back I'd like to see him alongside Lynch & Hudson & lets forget Edgar who's ok but never going to be the quality that we require, whereas Wallace has time on his side.

Wallace is a bit like the team in general. Can be excellent one week and lousy the next. But hes still very young and could improve a lot. Unlike Hudson who I don't rate as good enough now, and who'll only get worse from here as he gets older. If i was only keeping one of the two, then it would be wallace all day long.

The club should issue an apology in my opinion, but only when the cretins who come on here ONLY when we lose do the broomstick challenge naked at the next home match.

Typical DATM overreaction thread.. Public apology? Don't be daft.. It wasn't great but we've got another quick turn around & CP will look to put things right on Tuesday against Brentford.. A team we've already beaten this season.

For half time entertainment I was thinking of maybe recreating that scene from Airplane, where all of us with a brain line up and slap posters like this across the face to try and bring them to their senses.

Personally found it very patronising and arrogant towards Crawley by Barnsley when they refunded their fans - almost as if they thought Crawley had no right to beat them. Everyone who follows a team in the football league knows anyone can beat anyone on their day. Didn't see Chelsea handing out refunds to fans when they lost to Bradford, because they respected that the opposition did a number on them no matter how unexpected it was.
Charlton were the better team, we were a bit naive at times defending and they made us pay for it. Embarrassing to ask for an apology (do you send the club a thank you email everytime we win?). We were 2nd best and lost - get over it, we've all seen it happen countless times before, some more than others. I didn't even expect an apology when Peterborough beat us 3-0 in the play off final! That's just football.
Let's just hope for a better performance on Tuesday night.

It's some fan's mis-guided expectation that we should rightfully win every game that is crazy really. You have to pay big money for anything that works perfectly every time, we don't have big money, so we buy players that regularly fault for cut price.
If you want close to perfection every week then you are truly supporting the wrong football club, no doubt about that.
So many factors that contribute to a performance on the pitch, multiplied by 11+
- The shitter on the team coach was broken and toxic fumes made everyone high - Anthony Gerrard bullying everyone - Bad night's sleep - Girlfriend / wife fucking up your head via text message - Losing at FIFA on the coach journey - Not listening to the right music beforehand - The weather - Wrong Studs or blades - Meal eaten at the wrong time - Pants too tight etc. Just human beings. Rare for everyone to be firing at once. Rarer for us, because we didn't buy the deluxe edition player with leather seats and satnav.
I personally think that mental state is the single biggest way of defeating yourself.
Ask any golfer.
We really do miss Blacky. Call it voodoo or call it bollocks. It works.
When you are in a good mood, you do everything better.
