I am BURSTING to say that neither did you, but it could be a setup. You're a clever one, you.

I have one eye on my custard tart and one on my steak pie and mash. Both will be defeated.

Don't most managers say they never look further than the next game?

They planned for the Charlton game but had one eye on the Brentford game,,,why didn't he have two eyes on the Charlton game then after it finished use them both on the Brentford game? Did they bother using there eyes at all on saturday You could ask Galpharm 2400, but I'm pretty sure the answer will be in one of his recent posts. we never started chasing them about on Saturday..not sure how we can look tired towards the end??? we did enough on Tuesday.. Saturday is the day off, tomorrow is a free day and then we can save ourselves for Saturday.. win a few more home games and we will have just 'done enough'... maybe if Milwall and wigan lose one or two more we might 'get away' with just drawing a few home games??? no point killing yourself if 3 teams are considerably worse is there??? maybe buying season cards is 'just enough', maybe we don't have to bother turning up either??? cash is already paid... Brentford is our last away game this season, going only because we got the tickets already, lets hope we are not all 'drifting' towards may and the massive 'influx' of 'quality' championship players for Powell to build his own team and then try to work out why it isn't working most of the time?? 2 teams of professionals..in the same division with roughly the same season under their belts..both on not unreasonable runs of 'form'... difference on the day, attitude and work rate, they don't have better players than us like for like.. attitude and workrate is set by the staff and the motivation through the club..its missing so often at Town, questions are being asked.. like it or not, and be honest you don't have to have played to mine or your respective 'levels' to see it..granted mine was quite a while ago.. we have lost games where the attiude and commitment and approach was right, unfortunately we made mistakes and lost them, we were a mistake on Saturday and everything else just tailed off from it..starting poorly is one thing, doing nothing to change it is another. getting dicked right after half time is also a worry, shows nothing happened at half time or no one was listening... not sure where its going to all come right..we have little money, a real lack of team spirit too often and a bloke in charge who will take a home 0-0 draw before the game kicks off.. you do not play an attacking formation because you look as though you picked one.. you do not play a defensive game just because the team looks defensive.. take out support going forward and defending where the ball is and the team you picked is pretty immaterial. seems whoever he picks we either frame or we don't, it does not appear to have much at all to do with the manager. inconsistent??? the bi polar team of the year.. you cant get shut of all the players.. if the team are so badly inconsistent the manager/staff have to do something about it. one game pressing and ratting and supporting, the next sitting off deep and just waiting for them or lumping up to unsupported strikers, who is running the show? who decides how we are going to play, who is supposed to change it when its not going well?? if you tell me its powell then that's not happening.. if the players are just not doing what he wants then see the first line for details... its not the money or the support, so we can rule out Deano and you and me.. the suspects are the usual ones for town.. if you set up to play reading and then set up to play Charlton, you miss out on setting up for Huddersfield town to play.. that's whats happening.. they should be having a good look at themselves because they lost badly again..thats Reading.. but they have a cup quarter final coming up and possibly their management also believe they are 'safe'... The reference to Barcelona is a stupid as the posts that say some supporters think we should win every game..Its a bigger 'knee jerk' than any of the posts that are annoyed about the clubs lack of professionalism, on the playing side. Powell changed what we did, got it wrong, failed to change it and we lost badly.. that's it.. Charlton are a mid table side for a reason , it isn't because they don't take advantage of other mid table sides who turn up poorly prepared and lacking the motivation, will and gameplan to bother them very much.. With respect.. It's not they asked him a question and he hadn't had the answer written down and learnt it parrot fashion, at the end of the day its a 90 minute game of 2 halves and the gaffer has got the lads right up for the match , not for the post match interview.. its one game and one interview at a time lads....still, he can 'go again' next week when a mike is stuck under his nose.. we might turn up for a game or 2 before the death, who knows, certainly not Powell.. we go again on Tuesday??? we will have to 'go' we are away? genius footballspeak.. what about 'going today'? only 2nd game home or away ive missed.. sometimes, not often, your business has to come first.. be honest it wasn't the 'cost'... 2000 people 'turned up' if only another 11 wearing shirts and one wearing a suit had.... Think I worked harder this afternoon than our back 3 did... someone will tell you he picked an attacking formation today.. some will try and tell you it was a more attacking formation than Reading.. I will tell you it does not matter what players he selects and what formation everyone considers it to be.. this lot either perform or they don't.. 3rd manager running who hasn't really got any great control over what the 11 starters actually do.. they have 'done enough' over the last few games and have 'achieved' safety.. a win last Tuesday allows a slacking off period and hopefully the results of those in the bottom 3 allow us to just meander with the odd performance to the end of another 'nowhere much' season.. Brentford, who knows what will happen, powell certainly does not.. doing just enough, should replace the club motto..

run out all the posts that say we have to be 'inconsistent' because some other clubs are..
then add the ones asking or demanding 'quality players'..
plus the ones where we cant compete because of the money..
mine and others like mine are outnumbered by the really negative ones..
guess the really negative ones go under the radar because they give excuses..not real reasons.. its easier to take..

Surprised C P decided not to put the team up in a London B/B over the next three days . I thought Powells family still lived in London ,and maybe a nice gesture to spend a bit of quality time together. The one thing we never know is what goes on behind the scenes , and just hope there are no serious injury problems.

I was walking up Kingsway near Holborn at around half 6 on Saturday when the Town Eavesway bus passed me – I was wondering whether or not they'd be stopping and training down in London until today.

I saw the team coach setting off along Wakefield Road yesterday lunchtimeish, so it looks like they didn't stay over.
