I wasn't at the game Sat and it's taken me until now to "dare" to watch the highlights..summed up like this.
Another woeful piece of defending for their goal.
Rank bad luck for Wells hitting the post from Miller's cross. Miller on the highlights looked to be involved in everything. Playing well enough to earn a "deal" ?
2 poor penalties, but we have all seen worse penalties go in. Think his run up is too long though in my opinion, he also runs at quite an acute angle, which makes it difficult to have absolute confidence where he is putting it. Remember Millers penalty at Wembley ? Don Hutchinson questioned his technique.
Butterfield also unlucky in hitting the post.
A couple of back to back wins would be nice to just confirm our safety. Wigan have a tough run in, but we can't rely on other teams.

40/1 on us going down with Coral this morning. I had a tenner on that yesterday. Can only see the odds going one way now and a good way to ease the pain, should the worst happen.

Miller - did very well Tues, did ok Saturday, poor beforehand.
Shot for the pen, set up wells first half, looking fitter, still can't jump - he must be the only player that gets lower going for a header. 34 touches in 90 mins for a target man in a match we dominated - not near enough and says a lot about where we dominated ie half way and longer range shots than clear chances. The centre halves touched it more.
Good enough to be 4th choice option off the bench, but no more than that for me at this level - I suppose why he was at Blackpool. Still time to change that.

We play that game 99/100 we win... Horrible luck with the penalties and couple of woodwork attempts and a keeper in proper form but again our defensive play lets us down, any reasonable semi-pro team would not have conceded that first goal it was just comical.

I thought Miller had signed a contract for the remainder of this season and then for next too? Or am I just puddled and it was just until this summer

Done fairly well so far and thought he looked a good player last season when he was at Yeovil. I like how he has been used so far too by Powell. If Vaughan or Wells are sold then I would want us to bring in someone of more quality then Miller to replace them but I doubt Miller's wages will cost us the Earth and with Vaughan and Wells often picking up injuries he would be sure to get plenty of game time, probably a minimum of 15 starts a season, with plenty of substitute appearances when we might need more strength up top.

This was my main concern when we signed him - not necessarily his ability, but how it'd shape us up as a team. My opinion of Powell tactically isn't particularly high, so when we signed Miller I just expected him to be another tool in lumping it forward. But, to be fair to Miller and Powell, his role has been much more on the ground and clever hold-up play.
