The under 12 price is fair and will probably mean I take the boy to this game. £35 for both of is ain't too bad.

I'll be there, more for the cracking pubs in Nottingham than the almost inevitable arseholing !!! but I would be amazed if there's many more than a thousand there.

Apart from the very occasional special offers (like when it was £5 for an evening cup game back in Wijnard's playing days)Forest has always been on the upper end of away tickets. They still get gates of 20K and over.

The cup tie you refer was across the river at Notts County.

Yes art, got them mixed up as I went to both. Actually for the £5 league match there was some sort of mix up at the turnstile and they ended up giving me a complimentary seat for nothing. One of the best performances I've seen from town at the City ground.

The cup tie you refer was across the river at Notts County. Seem to remember them charging us £10 a couple of years ago. Vaughan gave us the lead while I was still walking over the River Trent, we then went on to lose 5-1, I believe Majewski scored a hat trick. Think I've been to Forest five times and have seen us beaten every single time. I won't be going this season so we might pick up something!

That match where Vaughan scored very early but then we capitulated was (I'm pretty sure)our first match of that season. We've been away at Forest for first match before that as well I think (maybe when we were both in lg1?). I also recall the away match at Forest that turned out to be Jackson's last match in his second spell. That was an odd one, just seemed like whatever speculative effort Forest had on our goal just went in that day.

Not quite right East Midlands last season was the opening day, we got done 1 or 2 nil. It was the year before when they beat us 5-1 Robins first league match as Town manager.
I remember theleague one opening day game, we took 4000 and eqhalised from the spot kick, Pawel Abbott. Happier memories of Meadow Lane then the City Ground.

Yep, I'm wrong again - considering I live in Nottm I seem to have poor recollections of our games here! yes, I recsll it being a 'first'and indeed it was MR's first full game in charge. I'm sure I'm safe on the Jackson game though. Also seen Town a few times over the river too.

I know it's factually incorrect but it really winds up those red scab barstewards & makes me and my lad chuckle (& given our results down here recently we need something to laugh about where Forest are concerned). Everybody posting so far about MR's first game in charge are unfortunately wrong - it was actually 6-1 not 5-1. Surprised you forgot EMT, our aggregate score in the three games in the East Midlands that season was two goals for fifteen against (6-1 Forest & Leicester, 3-0 at Derby). As East Leake is on the Notts/Leicester border and I work in Derby, I received some stick that season).

andyeastleake - I went to all 3 games, I think my mind just tried to blot out the final results. If it is the same season we are talking about then Leicester away was on new year's day and was where Grayson started Wallace at left back, Lynch had a nightmare afternoon and we never looked like getting anything. By the time we played Derby away Grayson had gone and there was lots of speculation on new possible managers in the crowd (I myself saw ex Cov manger Andy Thorn at the burger van outside pride park but it turned out he was just a guest of Derby and wasn't there to watch Town). Forest was then not long after and we'd appointed MR a few days before the game.
