Deffo, Wells has lost it. I'm surprised given the overwhelming support your ilk have offered since Saturday.

You do realise Vaughan is the penalty taker don't you?? Problem solved! Not according to some. Wells is suppose to be the designated penalty taker if there is such a thing, but Miller would be my choice.

You do realise Vaughan is the penalty taker don't you?? Problem solved! That'll be Vaughan that's missed more pens than he's scored for town then ? Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

Still not convinced over Wells' technique. Said after we signed him that he doesn't strike a ball true. I would give them Butterfield. I imagine Coady is a no nonsense penalty taker as well.

Quote from before the Millwall away game from JV... “Nahki is the main penalty taker, but we had decided that if he’s not on the pitch, it’s down to me" Think that's clear enough?

Might sound ridiculous after Saturday but Wells is an excellent penalty taker with a very impressive record and I hope he continues to take them. The next one would be a bit squeaky bum but hopefully it will be in a game with little to play for and he'll be back going again. He certainly better than Vaughan. He also scored free kicks at Bradford, I'd like to see him on ours round the D, cause we have been terrible this season.

" Give him 10 games & then sell him to Villa. Signing out of your forum.. sorry, the football, the team & banter is tragic. You just suck the life out of everything. You dont deserve Joe Lolly"
"Signing out of your forum". What is it with these stalkers?? Seriously, Jan, you need to let it go. You left the forum, we got over it. Move on.

Vaughan showed last season that he was unreliable at penalties. Didn't he agree to hand the job over to someone else, Clayton? Now Wells has shown his frailties. Why doesn't the manager find the best penalty taker and give him the job? Bugger egos. All CP has to do is ask the squad who wants to do the job. At least half of them would probably decline. The rest would then be given the job of taking (say) 100 pens each against Smithies, split into 10 a day over a period of a fortnight, excluding weekends. This would take into account different pitch/weather conditions plus the confidence of each player which might change from day to day. At the end of the fortnight the winner is the designated penalty taker, no argument. If that player is not on the field when we get a penalty, then the second or third highest scorer takes it. Surely this system (and at least it is a system) is better than leaving it to the ego or selfishness of a player.
Let the most consistent player be our designated pen taker. Simples. Come on CP, get it sorted and stop excusing your staff when they balls it up.

I would give the poisoned chalice to David Edgar, on the basis that he must be good at something footballing-wise.

Jan, you really need to let this go! He is NOT coming back to you - not even on loan - and scoring in the Vanerama wotsit league against a keeper who is a Plumber by day is not a good example to use. However, as your 'campaign' has finally been recognised by Chris Powell, you should at least feel a little bit of vindication. One last thing... I don't fully know how the You Tube 'embed' works on here, but after both clips you posted, it showed 8 more 'related' clips I could watch - 5 of them were other Harrier's goals/matches. However, the other choices included a pub near Kidderminster being demolished - but more worryingly, there was the Peter Andre video 'Mysterious Girl'? Did he play for the Harrier's in the 1990's? Or, is this an insight into your You Tube viewing history? Can you confirm if you have been watching the said video recently?

Completely agree, he hits a penalty cleanly; nothing wrong with his technique or bottle. Bad day at the office.

The player who earns the penalty should take it,,do players receive a goal bonus?if so I could see a player getting hacked down in the area after a great dribble around three players, been a bit pissed of watching his mate cash in from the spot,,unless its Nahki, then he's done it for nowt

Id imagine Wells would win most penalty competitions out of our squad it was just a bad day. He showed some knackers to take the second and while the keeper obviously thought he'd play it safe and go down the middle (he didn't move) like most players would've done he showed even more bottle going for the corner. As much as I like him having witnessed Butterfield's dead balls all season I'm not sure he'd be the answer. Leave it to Wells in my opinion it was just one of them days.
