Not going again season ticket in bin,45 years been following town, Powell not the man,.Rather have Lee Clarke back and be in league 1,at least I enjoyed going every sat win or loose, all the atmosphere gone since he arrived, cant manage a team from half way down the tunnel every match. Cant make subs,or bring decent loans in,disregarding the last one.Think season tickets and crowds next season will drop drasticly..Sad Times At Town. Does that mean you will also stop posting on this board ? Please.

Bloody scandalous pricing, sadly football is killing the fans, it's £35 for us Monday at Norwich, and the travel won't be cheap either.

Can we pay on the gate at Hillsborough? Can't find info anywhere. I asked the ticket office today when I was getting the Notts (sic) Forest tickets & they don't know yet (I'm not certain if I can go Saturday). When I asked how tickets were going she said well but when I pressed for a figure, she confirmed the earlier post "about 500" (which I would have thought was well below par). Seems odds on there will be the opportunity of paying on the day (or otherwise there is even more of a liklihood of a lot of empty seats). The football industry should be very careful with its pricing strategy. Attendances drop, atmosphere worsens, leads to people having a poorer experience, leads to attendances dropping, leads to atmosphere worsening and we're onto a downward spiral.

Charlton away, near sell out at £5 for home and away fans. Will Saturday be a near sell out for home and away fans? Will it fuck. Football hasn't learnt and it needs all clubs to wake up and that includes us.

£11 for a 5yo put me off. Would have loved to take him to his first away game but they can bollocks at that. His season card for 23 home games was only £25. Oh for the days of lifting kids over the turnstiles, Town are not immune though I'd to pay for a 6 month old for the last match at Leeds Rd when they wouldn't let me in with her. (See andyeastleake rank bad Town customer service existed before Clibbens) So that's what being tagged means. I bet it was well worth the money though Doc to be able to tell them they were there. Hope they appreciate it & you've got the photographic evidence for them (him or her?). Agreed poor (& a bit silly TBH) customer service. I'd never suggest the club used to be perfect but you'd never be able to convince me (as I'm sure you know ) that we didn't feel more like a "club" in those days and a lot less like a business. My £56 rip-off to Forest for two cost me £58 including Clibbens' "Out of Town" tax because I don't live near Huddersfield.

The club felt very much like a business to me at that time, partcularly as she was unable to stand in the terracing that I had to pay her entrance fee for, but yes there is plenty of photos of her and her older sister (3 at the time) in the cowshed before it was demolished. Maybe you could find some nice fan on here to pickup your tickets for free and meet you before the game, even though that's not the point and it's the principle of the charges. I hope you have a good day at Forest, I am hopeful their Kuwaiti owners will broadcast the game in that part of the world so I am able to watch it on a stream.

You can pay on the day, its on the Town website...£30 notes. Fleecing the people who love, LOVE the game and their team, to pay a load of overpaid young men. The questions is how long before it all goes tits up, not IF IT WILL go tits up. Saturday out in Sheffield, Love it! Pay £30.00 for the pleasure? - No Chance!!

I'm not going since Town (Boothy and DH) are pictured on Tory propaganda, oh and also cos I'm 3500 miles away I will be reading the match thread on here though waiting for giggity to embarrass himself - it usually doesn't take long! And so it starts....... (2 days before the game!)

All this guff about the prices being the reason that is stopping People wanting to go to Town matches, be that Sheffield Wednesday away or any other for that matter.
The truth is the fayre isn't worth watching.
If we were top 6 and playing well, there would be a huge turnout at Wednesday paying £30 a ticket.
If we were top 2 at this stage of the season on a bank holiday weekend and playing well, they could charge £50 a ticket and we would sell out.
Season ticket sales are going to be horrendous, our away support at Wednesday probably the lowest ever for that fixture.
There is an elephant in the room and we are all ignoring it. Ticket prices is not the issue here and a lot of us know it.

Well I am going and what's more I think Town will win too . I very rarely get to an away match these days and am thoroughly looking forward to the match . I have not seen Town lose away in about 7-8 years and am so confident of a win I am going to place a good wager on the result. I must admit though the tickets are pricey . 3-2 to Town.

Ticket prices is not the issue here and a lot of us know it. IMO the fayre isn't worth watching at £30, everything has value. Charlton away was about the same run of the mill 5th successive season fixture, but at £5 it sold out for a 200 mile trip. Fulham away was a new fixture for us and that sold out too. An end of season away clash when both teams are not challenging at the top, not the first clash between the sides for years will always struggle for our travelling attendance. The style of football we play may play a small part but the greatest factors on our travelling support are the 'importance' of the fixture, the cost and the repetitiveness of it. The latter 2 are why we struggle to sell out at L666s now when in 2004 we sold out a midweek cup tie, and for the first 3 years there but the last 2 we haven't.

It's a combination of the two.
I'm unsure if I'll go tomorrow, not that bothered about the £30 it's more I've seen enough Town non performances this season to last me a while.
Having said that, if it were £5 I'd probably go.

I'll be going tying it in to a trip to see the folks. Looking forward to the usual visit to the New Barrack Tavern with my Wednesday supporting mates pre-match from about 12:30. Cracking pub. Same every year.

Travelling up the M1 tomoz, after a 2 week break quite looking forward to it, we seem to do ok (in the past) when the away crowd dips or boycotts such as this, £30 I accept far too much but not the worse entry fee we've faced this season by a long way. Too much CBA the real reason, let's see which town team turns up.

I disagree with the overall football fayre being dire - for me it's the repetition of playing ok for half an hour then losing a shit goal and then sinking that puts me off! Need some men with big hearts tomora -,wed are no great footballing team, but they will physically impose themselves unless you stand up to it!

Watched the under 21s beat Forest 2 1 this afternoon and Holmes played so unlikely to be playing tomorrow. Hogg and Bunn still injured so it will be interesting to see who plays. Maybe even Lolley will start on the opposite side to Scanell. By the way Senior played at left back and for a young guy looked quite impressive however needs to bulk out a bit.
