I've just renewed in the FM lower,it will be rocking Me too. I really wanted to go in the ss but couldn't justify the extra £150 for me and and my lad! I really hope the FML retains some singers as we enjoy a good sing song.

Different audience. FM is expected to be families buying a handful of tickets, where you'd expect for some kind of discount. SS is the same type of fan as you'd expect in the KB, so the tickets are naturally around the same as that. On top of that the experience will be deemed better with the atmosphere, which boosts the price. This is a total shot in the dark, but I'd guess tickets in the Liverpool Kop are more expensive than those at the other end. We have to charge away fans the same price as home fans for similar facilities. South stand whilst shared will always be the same for all. He match day prices are the same as fm upper, but yet a season ticket is 50 quid more, just a bit worried this may have put some people off

I think the travelling team should be given an initial 2500 allocation, if they sell that then the rest of the south stand should be allocated on a compulsory buy of a minimum of 3500 tickets.. If the club decides it wants the 6000 allocation it needs to be pre arranged on a 100% compulsory buy basis atleased 2 weeks before the game to allow disrupted home fans to make other seating arrangements.. You can't blame the club for wanting to make extra revenue, but nothing would piss the displaced fans off more than just a sprinkling of away fans in their usual seats!
Personally I support the changes but the club need to do this properly.. I'm looking forward to spending most off the season in the south stand, along with the Kilner faithful, we're gonna get this stadium rocking!

Town fans have demanded the south stand for a long time, at £350 the price reflects the demand.

And also is here going to be a drummer in the SS? Personally I think it would be better without one.

Not sure why you think this would be welcome? I sit in the Kilner Bank and I have no interest at all of going in the South Stand, hell would have to freeze over before I went in the South Stand. It would be a crazy decision to hand the Kilner Bank over to the away fans. money is the key factor..everything else is just secondary...Loads of clubs have a flexible arrangement for away fans in a 'home' stand..the fans that go in there know the score and have to move when large numbers of away fans come ...they can sit somewhere else of course, in another stand, but at the end of the day the club has to maximise incomes for the benefit of the club/team...and ultimately the fans that support that team... You'll get over over it, just as thousands of fans at other clubs have....and tbh at the old leeds rd ground i hung on to the fencing behind the floodlights to watch the replay against wolves in 1961...being as there were 46,000 fans there and i couldn't get to my regular spot on crash barrier 291...was i bothered ? nah ... Well said. We've got some proper moangy fans who'd throw their dummies out of the pram for a bit but they'd get over it.

Away fans never bring drums to our place, do they?
Anyway I think a drum is a big part of our style in the NSL, and we use it properly and it doesn't drown out everything out.

Gotta keep Damo on the drums, the lad has got beatz. Innit. Jesting aside, he's done a brilliant job since he took on the role of drumming in the NSL.

Really wanted this post to get lost in the thread, but it's exactly this attitude that will stop us from having a truly good atmosphere at home matches. We must be one of very few clubs who have so many factions within our support.

We must be one of very few clubs who have so many factions within our support. it is a pity we have factions who seem at odds with each other, and I don't really get this it all. When we all congregate inside the stadium we should be as one, and the opposing team and fans should feel a united home fan base, as one with one another. Can we not just bury the hatchet, and think of the bigger issue ? Home fans falling out with each other is just plain stupid, imo, and very counter productive...it will surely only end in the demise of our club ..poor atmosphere..less fans...worse home performances...drop down the leagues.. Then, who is the winner ? No one.

We must be one of very few clubs who have so many factions within our support. I think you're imagining it. What's wrong with some folk wanting to stay where they are, and not move to a 'new' area? The likelihood is that at least this next season, less than a tenth of Town support will be in the South Stand... that doesn't mean everyone else is a grumpy git who wants to sit down in silence and isn't a proper Town supporter... and doesn't mean that the 800 or however many who turn up in the SS next season are extra special supporters who everyone should aim to be like. Everyone is a Town fan...theres room for everyone to sit and stand pretty much wherever they want, and it would be a pretty crappy atmosphere if everyone wanted to sit only in the same place! (and the seat would quickly wear out). Dont take "its not for me" type messages as a personal affront or attack on the very existence of the SS for home fans, it wears you down. Those who have been in the FML this season will understand this... it doesn't really matter what someone sitting somewhere else thinks, of course they're going to think its better where they sit and worse elsewhere, that's how humans rationalise and justify the decisions they've made, particularly where those decisions are not easily explainable such as in working out how you've ended up sitting specifically where you do typically sit. I wont be going in the SS next season either (might have a go once or twice), I've been before and the view feels wrong to me for some reason. But good luck to those that do go in, I hope they enjoy it more than they've enjoyed it wherever they sit now, cos lets face it, things have become a bit stale over the last few years (despite the slowly increasing league position), so if someone can enjoy the day out just a bit more than they have been doing, through some intangible act of shifting to a different seat and joining a new crowd of people, then that's great, it means Town dont lose a supporter. Likewise those who enjoy the view and the chat where they are today, who are staying, then well done to those too. To repeat, "we're all Town fans".

We must be one of very few clubs who have so many factions within our support. FFS is it any wonder when some posters come out with complete sh*8te like "We've got some proper moangy fans" attacking other supporters of our club. Wonder who said that (about 10 posts earlier in the thread)?

We must be one of very few clubs who have so many factions within our support. Its not that I'm against what you're doing, just that I have no interest in sitting behind the goal, that's all. I've never understood the fascination if going behind the goal. I used to go in The Cowshed when I was a kid but the view was shite looking towards the away end. I don't mind it away from home as all the fans are together and the hardcore go away but if I have a choice I'd rather sit at the side. Another big problem that Town gave is that ws simply do not have big enough crowds for big ends. One example of this is tonight, Norwich's Barclay End, its packed and rocking. Town do not have enough fans for this and probably, our ground is a bit too big for what we need.
