What a difference he's made since he finally got selected - well done Oscar.
Shame Nahki couldn't hit the net on Tuesday when set up with a great chance and again today early in the second half when he could so easily have made it 4-1.
Oscar gets better by the game and we have been much more creative with his inclusion

Five starts, 3 wins and 2 draws. Unbeaten
Give him a 5 year deal

He also set up that late chance for Miller vs Forest with some fancy footwork and took his today goal very calmly. Hope he can keep it up, get a new contract and push on next season. He has the talent alright, fingers crossed he finally makes it count.

"So easily have made it 4-1", get a grip. Keeper had no idea about the save.
Well done Oscar "baldry" Gobern.

He's a very good player, just hope he can stay fit for a longer run of games than usual. Need the likes of Lynch and Gobern to be fit and available more often.

Southampton fans told us about how excellent he could be for brief spells before going back to being average. He's done the same at other points in his Town career and is now doing it again now
Will he ever be able to do it consistently? That's the calls Powell has to make

thing is with Oscar, he's hardly been given a chance this season when he has actually been fit.
I think the Baldy comparison in unfair. He cant show what he can do when he hasn't been picked.
Hes come from nowhere near the 1st team to a regular, and as per usual when he actually gets a game, he tries to play the ball to a fellow team mate (that's not something you can always say about town players) and although gangly, he gets his foot in.

think the club have a years extension clause for his contract? reckon we should activate that with his recent form

Oscar can see an opportunity and pass a ball. Unfortunately, Hogg can see the opportunities but can't complete the passes. He's got other qualities of course - so good to have both of them.

If someone told you Hogg would be struggling to get a game in our midfield a few weeks ago you'd think they'd gone nuts.
Nice to have quality competition in the side

He's often been a much criticized player with little justification imo. This is just what he needed, a decent run of games. Lets hope he keeps it up.

I think he's doing well and he brings a bit more height to the side too.

Examiners MoM: "Gobern - The midfielder's recovery continues apace and this capped his excellent recent showings as he added a goal to embellish a series of performances full of strength and composure at the base of midfield. His run off the strikers, first touch and finish were all excellent. 8.."
Another player that the apparently awful manager, C.Powell, seems to be motivating and getting the best from.

I have always been a fan. I'm glad he is finally showing what he can do after finally being given a sustained run in the team

CP has been here since October last year and Oscar has only been in the team since Easter weekend. I like Oscar and I like CP, but it looked to me like CP didn't like Oscar , or else where has he been in all those months??/

Sorry Steve, has Oscar been injured since CP came in? If he has that's fine. I wasn't aware that he was though

Expect a statistical response from Essex Terrier. I'll save him bothering by saying that's the same Jonathan Hogg with 86.8% pass completion ratio this season, 6th best in our division? He's good on the two yarders which explain the stats and nothing wrong with that. He set one up for Miller in a midweek game with a good sweeping pass. Can't remember many chance creating passes like the ones that Oscar picked out at Forest & Brighton. I'm a big fan of Hogg - he's a different type of player though.

That's how Smith and Bunn have progressed in to the team, and Oscars been taking his. He's got a chance because Hogg has been injured and Powell has the good sense not to overuse Edgar! There was no reason why he would drop Butterfield, Hogg or Coady for Oscar.

Different type of player with a different role, to break up play and offload to others who can make things happen - something which he does very well may I add.
