Gone on loan to Doncaster. Seems strange. Sign him on a year's contract and shortly afterwards loan him out for half of it.

I wish we had got him back on loan just to see the comments and new threads that would bring about.

A lot of you wanted him to stay on the back of 4/5 good games at the end of the season when the pressure was offf! One thing the club nanaged to do well over the sunmer .... In the end

This chump has to go down as one of our worst signings in our history IMO, the best bit of 'good business' this transfer window was getting rid of him. God knows why QPR signed him.

In the end I've proven before by digging up threads from previous seasons, that this 4/5 good games is complete tosh. If he performs like he can, reasonably consistently, then Doncaster have got a good player.

We still did right to get shut Time will tell Ted, we haven't looked any better without him so far this season. Mel how many games was he unavailable for ? Or not getting in because SUCCESSIVE managers thought he wasn't good enough .. We've got 99 problems but that bitch ain't one !

What a laughable load of crap We still did right to get shut He'd get in the side now, no problem. He's had his problems and perhaps we were right to release him, but to class him as one of the worst ever signings when we've had to watch gash like Tyrone Thompson, Fola Onibuje, Martyn Booty and the like is one of the daftest things I've ever read on here. No offence meant teddytheterrier...

This just shows how stubbornness in football can so easily backfire.
Similar to Jack Hunt situation, you get a move away from Town to a 'bigger club' earning yourself a higher salary but find yourself back in the same league you've come from or in Oscar's case a level below.
I think signing for QPR was a move that helped Gobern's finances rather than his career.
