If they charge £5 on the turnstile to town fans, then they have to charge Blackburn £5. Are Blackburn tickets not £5 in advance too, then? No! We can charge them the matchday price and that's why Town fans have to get them ahead of matchday. www.brfcc.com/mb/index.php/topic/30441-huddersfield-away/

No, with them making the decision just a week before the game, Blackburn fans will have paid full price as tickets will already have been on sale at their end for a couple of weeks at least

So is anybody going that wouldn't have gone before?
Charlton did the offer and sold about 20,000 home tickets.
I will be dissapointed if there is less then 14,000 Town fans on Saturday.

That's disappointing for their fans! Should have been £5 all round (even pay on the day), I reckon.

I was going but my other half and her 2 kids weren't, but are now. Re the number of fans there on Saturday, I agree, should really be anywhere between 16-20k home fans purely because of the price (plus it's the last home game of the season and we've been playing/doing well recently)

I went to Derby away on a Tuesday night and it cost me £30 whilst derby fans who bought tickets in advance for a tenner. Hence why it was nearly a sell out. Town aren't the only ones who do it.

Why not just sell all season tickets at £5.00. Maybe £6.00 in the upper tier of Riverside. Dean Hoyle's a right prick, does nothing for us

Blackburn charged us full price, they could easily have reduced prices for their own supporters for the game..
I think clubs need to cultivate their own support first before handing out concessions to away fans..
clearly we are not expecting many Blackburn supporters so getting a few hundred more at a fiver isn't too tempting..
2/3k more home support at a fiver is a different matter..

Not sure I agree with it though. Hardly seems fair that a group of supporters from one team have to pay more then four times as much then the other sides. Been on the other end of this myself a few times though, guess it's a case of if you can't beat them, join them.

Oh, I wasn't debating whether or not we could do it, I just think it would be quite nice for the game to be the same price for all fans, like it was at Charlton earlier this season (and away at Forest for the 6–1 game? Was that c. £10 for everyone or am I just misremembering?).

Although this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read it would be good if the club did give something back.
Maybe something along the lines of if you go to every game you get a ticket for a free away game the next season? I don't know just an idea but it would make people try go to every match.

Was that c. £10 for everyone or am I just misremembering?). In an ideal world, players would be on sensible wages and agents would only be employed by MI6. Ticket prices are a joke at all levels of professional football, there is no getting away from it that all clubs need to address this issue ASAP. Although it's not fair on Blackburn fans paying more than town fans, to be quite honest with you, I couldn't careless. A £20 price cap should be made law by the FA but they don't give a shiny shite about fans so why would they? Equally, fans don't boycott unless they don't get more than 500 tickets to Leeds. If Blackburn fans don't like it then they should boycott, nothing will change unless fans say fuck you to football clubs. What's worrying is that some town season ticket holders have moaned that town are doing a £5 offer for town fans on Saturday and they want a free gift because they paid a lot for their season ticket. We moan when tickets are to much, then moan that tickets are cheap. Town are making about 80p per ticket.

We've sold 2000 extra tickets in two days. Lets keep that up and see if we can make it 4000-5000 by Friday lunchtime.

Season ticket holders should be banned for this game and forced to sit in a small room listening to Oggy and Kieran on the t'internet. Then you'll know what a real fan has to put up with every Saturday. a real fan pays money to watch there team! clearly your not much of a fan i know what oggy and kieran are like i listen to them on the way home. oggy i can stand but Kieran i hate his voice goes straight through me. we cant do anything good in his eyes he always finds something to moan at yes were not perfect every weekend but if we win he always disagrees with something and he never praises anyone!

FYI Jimmy and I live in the same city of Toronto, Canada. Is it too difficult to look at the location on his profile? But feel free to be ignorant enough to call someone not much of a fan And more than a little rich when you want recompense for season ticket holders when the club has a single £5 match offer.

If the match is £5 next week they should have something for the season card holders. It's not fair we pay a lot of money for the season ticket and get nothing back from the club as a thank you or some money back for cheaper games! If you think its wrong and you're not getting value for money, then don't renew. Fact is, season ticket holders have the cheapest match day experience EVEN with all the offers considered.
