Nothing substantial but seen a couple of Crewe fans online linking us to Matt Tootle.

Reading Powell's comment about signing one or two players he knows, nailed on that Johnnie Jackson will sign Michael Morrison? Lawrie Wilson? Both possibilities in positions we need to strengthen in.

Good player, but not sure we really need another midfielder unless others leave. Not sure we can really offer him anything he's not getting at Charlton either.

Derby fan pal of mine says they've released Jamie Ward!? Apparently to buy Tom Ince. Would seemingly fit in here and surely the type of player we'd be after, especially on a freebie. There will be a fair few teams sniffing around, though.

Wonder if superloopy will make a datm return or is he still banned? Banned himself didnt he after admitting the news networks was all bollocks in a move that surprised no-one Look out for dodgy predictions of townrwe. Never seen in the same room at the same time, if you get my drift.

Jamie Ward seems to have been pulling his hamstring multiple times every season for the last 10 years

Nicky Maynard released by Cardiff. Decent squad striker?? Would demand high wages, I would imagine if town sign another striker he'd be fourth choice!

Are the premiership clubs releasing players? I wouldn't mind us trying to snap one or two with that higher level experience now. Qpr will release loads this summer. Would anybody take a Richard dunne on a 1 or 2 year contract? Although he lacks pace like hudson

Text from the club earlier (for those questioning whether Miller will stay....)
"Anthony Gerrard, Jon Stead and Martin Paterson are all released by Huddersfield while they will offer new contracts to Ishmael Miller and Oscar Gobern"

Nicky Maynard released by Cardiff. Decent squad striker?? It defenders we need not strikers. If we re-sign Miller, we'll have him Vaughan, Wells, Bunn, Charles & Bojaj which even allowing for the two young lads is more than enough.

I don't think we will re-sign Miller. He is a free agent and could command a high wage from a club willing to make him a regular starter. Here he will be 3rd choice behind Wells and Vaughan and I doubt the club will be willing to offer him anything other than an average deal. He may well take up other options elsewhere as his stock has risen during his stint with us. Who says he'll be third choice? There are horses for courses and Miller will be used as and when... same as the other two

First team, a lot of those are from set pieces. My mates told me those figures so they may be a bit exaggerated, still a decent player nevertheless.

Maybe he's found somewhere he likes with people giving him some love... That may sway it I m o

So far I think this area is definitely one of Chris Powell's strengths. In fact it truly amazes me how poor at this so many managers are.

Greg Leigh from Man City. England Youth International who has done well on loan at Crewe this season.
Also know that Burnley sent a scout to Blackpool to look at Wells again on Saturday. Not that they'd have seen him mind! Mentioned back in Jan that if, and it looks likely they will, Burnley come down then Wells may well be a potential signing for them.
