Do he play for Charlton under Powell? Yes I think he do He was outstanding when they ended our unbeaten run in the promotion season. I can only assume he didn't fit the mould at Standard Liege's feeder team, given he was frozen out at the start of this season. [ Link. He joined Birmingham on loan and then permanently [ Link] being Rowett's first signing there - and given when Clark was sacked they were 2nd from bottom, I imagine Morrison had a fair bit to do with their on-field defensive improvements rather than Rowett getting far more out of the crop of players he had at St. Andrews when he arrived. On that note, I highly doubt they'd be willing to let him go particularly if he is their current club captain.

TransferMarkt put Cordoba at 2.2 million but I'm sure anyone could bring that down a bit, possibly if wells goes use the money to try and get him. Just interested as he is a young player with potential that could suit our style and affordable(if wells goes) are you this guys agent!?

Only Cordoba I've heard of is the Spanish club that were propping up La Liga.

Sorry for regurgitating stuff I've seen online, but the Examiner reports that 'Huddersfield boss Chris Powell hopes to conduct his summer transfer business earlier rather than later during this pre-season'. I know it's the Examiner, but it's got me a little excited that we may see some transfers in the coming weeks rather than waiting until the last few as per usual. Does anyone have a remedy to calm me down and remind me this is untrue?

Does anyone have a remedy to calm me down and remind me this is untrue? I'm pretty sure that has been the stated aim in previous seasons, as Powell says, it "very rarely happens". Don't hold your breath.

I just think if Powell signs anybody it will be experienced players through the spine. He may even prefer Edgar compared to Thorpe Etc. The more I read what Powell says the more im sure he will try get Edgar on a permanent deal.

Huddersfield are one of five English clubs looking to bring wanted Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci back to the country
Nadir Çiftçi is a Turkish footballer who currently plays as a forward for Scottish Premiership club Dundee United. He has previously played professionally for Portsmouth in England, Kayserispor in Turkey and NAC Breda in the Netherlands Born: February 12, 1992 age 23 Hope so! I'm quite a fan of his, look how well Dundee United's former forward Johnny Russell is doing at Derby, plus I always thought Paul Dixon was under-rated at Town. Having said that, David Goodwillie was a bit of a flop at Blackburn...

The guy from Shrewsbury? Saw him once last season, can't recall too much about him, except he's tall, right sided I think, defender

I know we have Smith at right back who's a decent prospect.. but the number 3 for Swindon tonight Nathan Byrne has been excellent in both legs! (So far)!.

Not sure why we'd sign Edgar - didn't pull up any tress during his loan and we could get a youngster who is as good (with added potential) for less of a wage...

Yea I agree RE Edgar but we do need someone tall who can win headers and is relatively physical. From Powells comments today youngsters don't appear to be on the agenda this summer.

To be fair we have plenty of promising youngsters ourselves, so if we were to buy any more they'd have to be a proper good deal too good to miss. Not really a surprise that we'll only be going after experienced players that'll slot straight into and improve the first team. Interested to see who Powell brings in as his signings have all been decent - great. Edgar was the worst and I'm not a huge fan of that signing either but even he did the job in the games he played. James and Miller turned out to be great signings, and he also had a say in Scannell staying. Factor in his signings for previous clubs e.g. Kermorgant and I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do for us.

Did he bring Robinson in or was that arterrier's mate?

Did he bring Robinson in or was that arterrier's mate? Robinson was Lillis era I think but Steve Thompson should get the credit for that one.
