Burnley down, despite beating Hull.
If Hull had actually won, Newcastle would be in really bad shape. Just saw the second half of their game against West Brom and they still looked pretty crap,

It will be a true miracle if Hull escape, Tottenham away and Man Utd home.
I think the Toon will escape by the skin of their teeth, QPR away and West Ham at home. Although I used to like Newcastle in the old days under Keegan, they have become a joke club now. Ashley is one smug arrogant prick, and he ( not the fans ) would deserve it if they drop down.

AND the expectations from their fanbase to contend at the top of the table, which will be a totally different ballgame for Dyche and his squad next season.

Is arfield still 'doing an arfield' or is he useless again now? Be great to hear what smugclaret has to say!

Burnley resident here - Arfield had a bit of a dip a couple of months ago but back to good performances again. Is being played in the centre of midfield now - occasionally out of his depth but best of a bad midfield lot. I've seen him several times this season - believe me he's unrecognisable from the player he was with us.

... and therefore will be front-runners next season. Bottom half Fancy putting some money on that? I think Burnley will finish 12th or higher next season.....I seem to remember the summer of 2013 and some Terriers fans on here predicting RELEGATION to League One for Burnley.
I'll go a tenner or £20 if you or any others on here fancy Burnley for 13th or below.

Nope. I was being flippant. Think it will be a hard task to bounce straight back though as Burnley seem to have some common sense when it comes to splashing cash. When people were predicting relegation, I think they may have been taking a lead from those Burnley fans who were wanting Dyche sacked during 12/13.

Strong finish..... Do you mean the 2 wins to end the season? Does 2 matches justify calling it a strong finish? Especially when you had only 2 wins from the previous 16 matches during which they went from playoff contenders to relegation candidates, gaining a mere 13 pts from 16 games (relegation form in anyone's eyes) The relegated clubs peterboro got 25pts, Bristol 19 pts and Wolves 18 pts during that spell. Burnley secured safety that season in the 45th match of the season. I remember watching your fans celebrate a last minute equaliser by our friend David Edgar in the live game Cardiff in the 44th game of that season, as if it meant you were safe when mathematically you weren't. After 44 games you were 4pts above second bottom who had 6 pts to play for. Strong finish ...... I beg to differ. Add to this selling or releasing your 2 top scorers before the next season and it was no surprise that many tipped you for relegation. Don't come on here as some sort of hindsight sage and say that you could envision a promotion campaign following that season. You got promoted so well done for that and welcome back to what is a tough division. (Oh and Leicester finished on 68pts)

Must be something in the air as you head West
