Nick's hearing is obviously worse than his spelling. Thing is, Nick can spell, but sadly tries to be humourous by misspelling several words. No, I'm aperplexic.

Freddie Goodwin - wasn't he there when we lost at Birmingham City in the FA Cup early 70's, 3-1 I think.
Did ok for himself after that spell, shafting all and sundry at RBOS !

3 pipes disappeared.. I think he got nervous about standing me that Indian feast I know it's a cliche, but he really does need a bit of time out of work to rediscover what sort of ethos he espouses. He's been listless and incoherent ever since the Den. Odd that he created such an exciting team that one season but has never got close to reproducing it since.

After Huddersfield Town had sacked manager Stan Ternent on 4 November 2008, The Terriers were reported to be interested in then Norwich assistant manager Clark. On 12 December 2008, Clark was officially unveiled as the new manager of the League One side, signing a three-and-a-half year contract. Clark replaced Gerry Murphy, who had been caretaker manager for the League One side following the departure of Ternent. The first move made by Clark was to appoint Terry McDermott as his assistant as well as bringing in Derek Fazackerley in as first team coach and Steve Black as performance coach, all of whom had previously worked with Newcastle United.[8] Clark officially took over on 15 December; his first game in charge of the club was a 2–0 win over Hereford United on 20 December.
In his first season at the club he helped them to a ninth-placed finish in League One. They also only lost two home league games under Clark in the 2008–09 season. In his second season in charge, Clark helped Huddersfield to secure a play-off spot and became the first manager to win three Manager of the Month awards in a single season since Roberto Martínez in 2007–08.[9] Huddersfield were defeated by Millwall in the 2009–10 play-off semi-final.
In the 2010–11 season, Clark guided Huddersfield to a third-placed finish in the league, earning them a place in the play-offs after a club-record 25-game unbeaten run in the league. They reached the final after beating Bournemouth 4–2 on penalties, but lost 3–0 to Peterborough United in the Old Trafford final. In July 2011, he agreed a new rolling contract with the club.[10]
Clark continued breaking records at the beginning of the 2011–12 season, extending the unbeaten run in domestic regular-season league games to a Football League record 43 games.[11]
Clark was sacked as manager of Huddersfield on 15 February 2012 following a 1–0 home defeat to Sheffield United.[12] When he was sacked he said, "I'm shocked, but when Huddersfield go up this season, I'll be celebrating like any other Huddersfield fan."

I certainly think Clarks sacking was more down to his off field doings. He admitted at the time that he had applied for two managerial jobs , and I feel Hoyle is not interested in staff who's interests lie else where. The home defeat against Sheff Utd did not help Clarks cause as it put a dint in towns promotion push , and surely a win in the play off final against P/boro would have meant far more to most than the so called unbeaten run .

You may well be right, his off field activities could have cost him. Where did you get this exclusive information from? I don't recall him admitting anything. The defeat against Sheffield made no difference to Dean Hoyle, he admitted the decision had already been made prior to that match.

Coddingtontripper -- Just trying to remember who interviewed Clark . The one thing I do remember is that Mark Lawrenson was also a guest on the same programme ,and Lawrenson showed Clark a lot of sympathy after highlighting what he had achieved at Huddersfield which included the unbeaten run... Remember the interviewer looking at question that were coming into the programme , and then asked Clark if he had applied for other managerial jobs whilst at town . I seem to remember him saying yes. Mark Lawrenson then went on to say that it was not Clarks fault that other clubs were showing interest in him. This was a well publicised interview amongst town fans at the time .

I do remember his name was linked to other clubs but I honestly don't remember him admitting applying for any of them, if it was a well publicised interview on here I must have been asleep.
