Remember Sivan John, the lad in Malaysia who follows town - he was featured in the Examiner a few weeks back I think. Well he's been on twitter and wants a design for a tattoo, something bold and preferably " in a black and white sketch", but I guess blue would be acceptable. Lets see if we can give him some inspiration, and if you fancy designing a tattoo from scratch, get drawing. You could be making a lifelong mark on a far away town supporter. (I'm expecting my mate Cole to be a major contributor here)

Anyone wanting a Town tattoo, just make sure you pick a good tattooist. Ive seen some terrible crests out there. If you really want it doing i would highly recommend A Breed Apart in Mirfield. The town done for my lasses uncle is top notch, no bleeding lines, crisp and great colour, also offered to touch up the tattoo free of charge after healing. Anyone wanting something poor there's always dragons lair or pro body in town, believe me i've had the misfortune with both

Some obvious ones I can think of are: 1. The Town over your heart 2. The words 'Made In Huddersfield' tattooed in a circle around your belly button 3. The Yorkshire Rose somewhere around shoulder/arm, like Alex Turner has from the Arctic Monkeys, cos he's from Sheffield. Thinking about number 3 myself...

Anyone who has or aspires to have a tattoo is a chav. And how does that work then, please enlighten me. Does having my ear pierced make me a homosexual too?

Anyone who has or aspires to have a tattoo is a chav. I wouldn't want a tattoo because I think they're too permanent (obviously) and wouldn't want to regret something I and everyone else will see and judge me by. However calling people chavs for wanting them is a bit narrow minded, 1/3 people have a tattoo I read somewhere. I could name you more people who aren't chavs that have tattoos than are. Joker.

when the trend dies off you might find the queue waiting to tell a doctor how its ruined their life, in the hope of a freebie removal on the NHS , a very, very long one.. 7,000 females had a NHS tattoo removal last year.. of that number almost 5300 went on to have another tattoo? ? someone, somewhere will eventually tell them to fuck off and live with it...

This trend that has lasted since prehistoric times? Haha. Until I came on this board I assumed stigma and small-mindedness about tattoos was gone but apparently not. I'm in the predicament of wanting something Town related but not sure what, definitely not the Terrier on the anyway, it looks horrific.

Anyone who has or aspires to have a tattoo is a chav. I have a tattoo which has a deeply personal meaning for me alongside being a graduate, a senior manager, homeowner, 2 kids both graduates, etc., etc. How do you see me as a chav? I'd be really interested to hear how you define one.

I HATE TATTOOS! The most stupid, pointless, narcissistic waste of time and money ever conceived (if it ever was conceived). My Father had 50, my Mother one and neither i nor my Sisters would ever consider it. No mystery that it has become more popular in these culturally dark times. Whenever i need a lift i just google "bad tattoos" and have a chuckle. Although i consider 100% to be bad some are just so truly awful that one can only gawp in amazement.

I think, or I hope, you know what I mean by 'trend' Ben...
ancient civilisations, followed recently by forces personnel/gang members/bikers/heavy metal disciples etc...
followed very recently by middle of the road pop singers and footballers...
you can 'sell' anything these days...

I'd recommend big Dave on B wing in Armley. Very reasonably priced and you get meals and a bed thrown in for nowt.

No I really don't, people have always had tattoos, the only reason you think it's a trend is because it's become in the last 30 years or so socially acceptable for public figures to have them.
