De Jong has done him there, though... to be fair. Sanchez is about to do him. Robben is doing him. De Jong has done him. On the plus side, it would appear that he has a tatt on his right bicep. Should please those who value such things ...

Obviously wasn't keeping an eye out for him specifically at the time but I do remember none of Australia's players disgracing themselves (after their nerves settled in the opening game) in a very tough group that even Spain didn't qualify from. Plus their team spirit and work ethic was very, very impressive so you'd think it should work out from a character point of view. Still pretty young too.
Seems like it should be a decent signing on a free?

FWIW, Wikileaks says his playing position is "Left back / Centre back / Defensive midfielder" so that would give Powell lots of cover around the back! The new Craig Armstrong then!

I take it you didn't watch either of those games then? There's a possibility or even a probability I did but I can't remember. Only having a laugh, like the Whitehead signing I don't see any point in trying to predict their form and performances for Town. Just wish him all the best and wait and see.

I've seen him play a fair few times for Australia. He's always been excellent for them. Never seen a club game of his though. Australia are a pretty cohesive unit lacking in any real stars. The coach (Ange Postecoglou) is very good at getting the right players for the right role in his style rather than just finding the best players and trying to build a team out of it. Davidson happens to fit very well into Postecoglou's philosophy. I don't see really any Huddersfield games at all, so I don't really know what the style is so much - so I can't really say how well Davidson will fit. Presumably Chris Powell thinks he'll fit in nicely, and I hope he does. What type of player would you say he was eg good tackler, attacking full-back, fast etc ? Thanks. He's quick and assured on the ball. Good passer and a solid defender. Doesn't seem to get overawed by big occasions. Not sure if I'd call him overly attacking, but he'll push forward and overlap when the formation allows it.

I hope he does well.

Look, he's got the hair and the tattoos that seem to be almost obligatory for footballers these days, so what's the problem?
............and the teeth too, just to keep Mel Smooth happy!

Does he wear headphones when he gets off the team coach? I believe that qualifies you to b a professional footballer as well.

hope this comes does come off as it seems its going to. its a little left field, hes young enough to learn and off a ex england LB in powell, hes a full international and played against some of the best there is, he is costing nowt except wages which as a non established league player wont be huge. reading the report since he was given his release seems as though he just wants to get in a team and play and get his career back on track also good news.

And De Jong does most people... to be fair. What? A mere yellow card offence that
I think its a red card, the handball is denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
