Whether I am with 3,000 or 30,000 Town fans, I know which team I will always watch... TTID you aint got 30,000 lad you never will have , you will always be in the shadow of us, leeds ,and sheffield wednesday. amazing how threads on bradford leeds and sheffield get the most views and reply,s . you get shit crowds in a stadium thats like a big dipper..jelous bastards. enjoy playing in front of smaller crowds than a leauge 1 team saddos. The same saddos that raised £4000 for the Bradford burns unit, funded, made and displayed two remembrance banners at our last home game and turned up at the 30th anniversary service in centenary square? Those saddos? You're adisgrace to your football club pal, I suggest you wind your neck.

As a Bantam fan I wasn't going to post on a dog botherers forum but reading the total rubbish from both sides I haven't been able to resist. Let's get something's straight, IMO, anyway:
1. Are we a bigger club than town - NO. for most of our history we have been Div 3 and Div 4. I have been a bantam since 1967 and cannot really remember much of a history between our two clubs as we haven't been in the same divisions that often.
2. Are some of our fans deluded by season ticket sales - Yes. However we have a 25000 seater stadium and it's a lot better to have 18000 people inside than 8000. Also for the last 10 seasons we have been in L2 and gone into administration twice, we have not had the recent sustained success to maintain higher prices. I obviously don't include the last 3 seasons which have been fantastic.
3. Could the current prices be sustained in the championship - No. Obviously not you show how ridiculous the championship is. You have an owner who has pumped in £40 million quid, get more than 10 times the revenue we get from the league and you still only finished just outside the relegation zone.
4. Are we improving year on year - Yes. The ticket scheme is a long term investment in the club, we need to get young kids used to supporting us instead of Man Utd etc. this year we have had a family of four not renew their old Trafford tickets but buy our tickets, we have had literally thousands of people buy season tickets for the first time.
5. Have we "Sold" all 18,000 season tickets - No. Some of them will be under 11yr olds at no cost but I would anticipate no more than a couple of thousand but we now have a whole new generation of young kids growing up to be bantams (hopefully).
6. Why oh why have you let this develop into a 9 page thread on a town website ?
7. Would this suit Town - Probably not given your current wage bill unless DH was prepared to pump in additional millions.
8. Finally just to let you know, Stead didn't sign for us because he wanted two years and given his erratic performances at the back end of the season and the fact he was struggling to last 90 minutes PP didn't think he wanted to spend that much of his budget on the player. We only have a £2 million playing budget not the £9 million you have so we have to be careful.
So let's all go back to supporting our own clubs and not get too involved in other peoples clubs

Think you'll find theres more than 2000 free kids though. A lot of people just get one almost for the sake of it, just in case their nipper wants to go, or in case a mate wants to take in a game so they have a seat next to them. Id be surprised if it isn't double that amount at least. Rest of your post is hard to argue with. Money will be your problem. Youve had some very lucrative cup runs lately and if they stop and you go out early in both this time, that might leave you pretty skint, even with 18000 ST s 'sold'. I applaud what the club are doing and just wish everyone else did the same.

Surely Bradford could not afford to charge the mentioned season ticket prices if they were to reach championship level. Still nice to see that they are trying to attract the fans of the future at affordable prices.

im glad that Bradford City inform their supporters of the exact details of their contract negotiations, its nice to be 'informed'...
maybe Phil can nip into the local pubs on a saturday and discuss his proposed tactics for the game with a few 'in the know' Bantams?

I applaud the effort to get more bums on seats.
I don't know how many season tickets they normally sell or at what price but I would imagine they have done better than break even.
As the sensible Bradford poster said its just about getting people in the door in the hope some keep coming for years.
I am sure plenty of clubs are watching in interest.

Well said bingley boy... I wouldnt take offence at anything said against your club as most was only in reaction to the crap this twinny posts. Unfortunately weve all got our idiots, I blame internet porn and not getting out of the house enough. Good luck with next season could only be a good thing for the game if this buissnes model succeeds.

SKY Sports News reporting that Bradford have sold in excess of 15,000 season tickets. Wow! Just ... Wow!!! These figures depend on just what they have sold/given and at what cost? HTFC could run a similar scheme to get bums on seats, sorry guys I did not mean you.

OMG. You lads love talking about us dont you ? . But fuck me so much dick measuring 'we had 15,000 this season, you lot had less we had more'. Cant we just get over it ?? Town have had a better history than us, are you happy now. Also a lot of hate towards us on this forum, but could someone please just tell me why you Huddersfield fans 'hate' or 'dislike' Bradford fans, I seriously cannot understand this. Not taking the piss now but when we played in the first round of the Carling Cup and we lost 2-1. There wasnt much of an atmosphere from Town. All im saying is if you consider us a rival and despise so much as you do on forums why not create and atmosphere at your own home ground. I mean is it even a big fixture Huddersfield v Bradford ?? I dont think so.....

Hate you- well as a bunch of fans we recently raised a shed load of money for the burns unit over there and even made banners to show support to your club, so maybe not. Is playing you a big fixture? not really anymore judging by the crowd in the cup tie. Maybe if you ever get back to our level it will be a big ( ish) game like it used to be.

What would be nice, is if we could get rid of these Bradford fans who regularly come on here. No problems with the sensible ones, although sadly we don't get many sensible ones (not ones who post regularly). Lets face it if a fan of an opposite team comes onto another clubs forum, passionate fans are gonna react and put them straight if they're talking crap.
This thread is a very unique one as it is a Town fan who has started a thread about Bradford which near as much never happens, but as alot of us may work with Bradford fans, we know alot about what goes on there and adding to the fact, we also did cheap season tickets for a season, it is a good topic of conversation, or at least it was.
Its harsh to say Town fans hate Bradford. I don't think thats true at all. Maybe just a little bit confused at why your fans are telling us they've sold 18000 season tickets, when at least 2000 of them were free and another 2000 of them were flexi tickets, where you would be foolish to attend more than 9 games, given that it would cost more than a season ticket. Not really sure how 9 matches can be called a season ticket. Shouldn't it be 16000 sold, including 2000 free tickets and 2000 flexi tickets. I'm only saying this as I know we are gonna have to hear about 18000 season tickets sold for at least another season, which isn't true.

Yes actually our forum does have a few town fans on there 'ask nahki' and another one of his mates. There were also a few on there when Wells came to you to take the piss out of us. There have been some rude comments towards us but thats beside the point. I didnt think it was a big fixture either maybe if were both in the same league then something could spark a rivalry. Your probably older than me so you will know if it was ever a big fixture between us. Ive been supporting City for over 10 years and dont really have any dislike for town fans or anything, dont know why I should. But yeah I just came on here as I found it a bit annoying about the dick measuring of the attendance who gives a fuck. I dont. Just saying

Cheers mate hope we do join you soon in a decent round in the cup or next season in the Championship.

Just asking ? what a load of bullshit yer bellend no fucker were crying , you lot dodnt turn up for yer big cup final let alone piss pot trophy .. cock end He's making reference to a quote from one of your fans on this message board after the Paint Pot game, I think it was closer to 'grown men were hugging strangers and close to tears'. You have come on leaps and bounds since that match and didn't have much to be excited about back then. Don't see how anyone can criticise your season ticket pricing strategy, although you may not have the biggest playing budget in League One you do appear to have had a strong team spirit over the last few seasons and supporters appear to be a lot more optimistic and supportive then those at our Club. How long that last remains to be seen but I'm sure shifting 18,000 even at such prices will make for a good atmosphere.
