Former town star David Unsworth linked with the vacant Everton job. That's pushing it a bit. A more accurate description would have been "former Town man who had the fattest arse in football"

Gary Roberts in play off action tonight. Apparently this is his SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE season in the Play-Offs! Wow! I saw that as well, but it's not actually correct. In 2013/14 he won the League 2 title with Chesterfield. The other 6 seasons going back to 2009/10 though he has indeed been involved in the play-offs.

Who makes Ipswich the ultimate authority on a player. It has been many the death of a flair player with McCarthy in charge. The arm injury fucked him for us. Before that he'd have created chances in the championship. He had end product and could finish.

Was it just Ipswich who were wrong ? The fact he left us for.Chesterfield surely says something ? As does the fact he left Chesterfield for a league two side ... championship players tend not to spend 99% of their careers in leagues one and two

You may have felt he wouldn't have cut it for us in champs but what he did 5 years earlier is neither here nor there.

If we'd gone up on either play off campaigns with Pilks and JR then Roberts would've contributed and been effective for a year or 2 in the champs imo. Some folks rated him some never did. I understand that.

Roberts is better than Harry Bunn, and would bring more to the squad's progression.
But nowhere near as much as Pilks. When he returns he will slot straight into Wagner's revolution.
