On BBC web site today... "Nottingham Forest boss Aitor Karanka has told English winger Joe Lolley, 26, to focus on maintaining his improvement - and not to concern himself with transfer speculation or potential contract talks. (Nottingham Post)" He's coming home, he's coming home...... etc? My mates Mum heard we are going in for him.

Plenty of ex-Terriers showing LD and SM how it's done... (with the obvious caveat that they're all at a lower level)
Lynch, Wells, Akins (2), Hiwula-Mayifula, Holmes-Dennis.

Hammill signed for Scunny Great Spot, that, Frankies! I see Bradshaw is moving from Barnsley to Millwall for a (for Millwall) record fee of >£800,000 - we were all excited about signing him once? How far have WE come since those heady days? Some on here would do well to remember those days....

Not a good weekend for ex Town keepers. Smithies and Ward both out to lower league teams. Also Coleman on the bench for Shrewsbury's draw with Stoke.

On BBC web site today " Peterborough United have signed midfielder Kyle Dempsey on loan from Fleetwood until the end of the season.
The ex-Huddersfield and Carlisle man, 23, has made 14 League One appearances for Joey Barton's side this term.
Peterborough are seventh, five places and 10 points above Fleetwood in the third-tier table.
"I would describe myself as a box-to-box midfielder, I like to get forward and create and score goals and that is what I hope I can bring," Dempsey said.
He is cup-tied in the Checkatrade Trophy, but could make his league debut for Posh against Rochdale on Saturday." There was a time, not that long ago, when I thought he would be the heartbeat of the new HTAFC. Shows you what I know?!!

Was only a loan you had, but thoughts on Kasey Palmer?
Our CEO confirmed we are close to signing a "top end player" (read advanced midfielder or striker" on loan who is English from an English club.
Since then this is the rumour that has taken off the most.

A local lad from Roberttown and a big Town fan I sometimes wondered if he was a Bobtown boy, but never asked. Is he Roger Trevitt's lad? Roger grew up as kid in a house right at the top of Roberttown rec. I'm sure I played cricket against Simon Trevitt's dad in about 2003 or 2004, I think he was called Colin though. He played for Heckmondwike & Carlinghow.

Tammy Abraham crashed another players car and had to redo his driving test when he was with us, maybe it's a Chelsea thing!

Personally, I loved him and was really happy when we resigned him but his hamstrings wouldn't allow him to train the way DW wanted so he went back to Chelsea. I don't know what's happened since to stop him being a regular in the sides he's been loaned to cos he looked perfect for a #10, could pass, could finish, got stuck in and he seemed a good lad too.

Simon Ireland becomes caretaker manager of Forest after Karanka's sacking. Is he the one who had a good game against Blackburn, left us for the bright lights, then disappeared into obscurity?
