You mean stupid question... I will tell you what it is stupid. Having your team chase shadows for 90 minutes whilst being comprehensively outplayed, outpassed and outmanoeuvred. Not the best preparation for the season opener. Like Sociadad and Bilbao didn't do to us ? Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

Not the best preparation for the season opener. It's for the fans, pre season is done by then. You're a proper old drama queen.

How else do you learn giggity?! Surely being able to see first hand the excellent movement and ball retention skills will help us? It allows us to work on defensive shape if nothing else!!! You won't learn anything in one game anyway. Barcelona B and Real Betis friendly did a fat load of good. The only thing it raised was the player's tempers. Clayton soon got fed up with chasing shadows.

We've played loads of Spanish teams in last few years. Only Barcelona B had us chasing shadows. All the other teams, we gave a good account of ourselves against.

Think games like this should teach our players a lot how when u pass u can move not just admire the bloody thing how t form up against better players defensively and how to break effectively and make better decisions and if we do chase shadows it is good fitness work but will tell CP who will give for the cause n mental attitude. Clayton as he was in that barca game was a bit petulant should of taken the lead and helped direct the team to try combat it that's why CP has brought whithead in for game management on the pitch.

With the match taking place only a couple of weeks prior to the season starting, during the school holidays and there is a need to attract last minute season card and take 10 sales would it not be a good idea to either let people in free or even a nominal amount to get "bums on seats" and generate interest for the season ahead? Cannot imaging this would make that much difference to long term planning but might just stimulate some added interest.

Whilst I can understand the "I want everything for free" brigade will always come out where Town are concerned, I genuinely cannot understand why a fan would really post this kind of thing. Town is/are a BUSINESS and will naturally incur expenses in staging this game (stewards, staff, police?, cfatering, etc. as well as having to pay Deoportivo for their troubles) so why on earth would they make it FREE? We're already losing money and struggling to compete in the regular season and no doubt also in the Capital One Cup having been 'rewarded' with a 'plum' home draw against Notts County, so why would they want to lose even more just to please the "Free for me" folks? Do other clubs stage these games for nowt as a crowd pleaser? Seriously doubt it. If you can't afford it, or simply don't fancy a pre-season against Spanish opposition, then just don't go! Yes, I know that it's an unpopular view ...

Catering should be a source of revenue surely? Not an expense.

Correct nt, remember Bournemouth paid Real Madrid a cool £1000,000 a couple of years ago for the privilege. I know Deportivo aren't Real Madrid, but imagine the outcry if we charged as they did £60 a ticket for a pre season run around.

Remember watching some good Italian teams in the early 70s at Leeds Road . I seem to remember this being called the anglo Italian cup. Shame they cannot do similar today with the Spanish clubs.

Cheaper in South Stand for ST holders I think, although it isn't clear if the £2 season ticket discount applies to the South Stand only or not. Good idea to get more in there if it is.

"Walk-out jacket".
Is that an actual thing, do they actually mean "tracky top"?
(They should wear silk komonos)
