Scanz and Vaughan too....very reliable source.
Plus Hoyle is not happy with the Academy and whoever is running it now.

Never done this before, but had a quick look at your history to form a view of the likelihood.
Tempting fate, but I'll assume this is utter drivel.

if you had said you heard it in Battyeford, clearly you would not have got the reply you got..
Battyeford = gospel enough said...
I too discuss my business with all and sundry and I dont care about possibly upsetting vital assets and very expensive members of my workforce...
If its ever proved to be true, then obviously his wife was the brains behind his success..

Everyone is for sale at HTAFC, if the price is right. Fact, selling club.
It's no secret Deano has said "the academy must try harder."
Problem is, don't think any of the older boys are good enough but until given a run in the team how will we know. If CP said "Joe Lolly will play the next 5 games on the trot then we will re assess". We supporters then could also make some sort of judgement after said games. Kid needs game time now, or what was the point in signing him in the first place

Surely it's the manager's / coaches jobs to determine whether young players are good enough and ready to be included in the 1st team, rather than the supporters? I'd be a bit disappointed in Powell's managerial ability if he was reliant on us to tell him whether players are good enough or not.

No matter the state of the academy at the minute, we can safely say they are all better than 'the young guns'

If we're open to offers why isn't it out in the open?

"Open to offers for Scanz & Vaughan", Scannell has had ONE good season with us, if we get good money for him, let him go, we might then get Pilks, Vaughan injury-free is amongst the best centre forwards outside the prem', main thing is we keep butters'.

Why are some Town 'supporters' so keen to spread rumours and negativity?

If the transfer window had ended it would look to me like that Deano is getting as much money back as he can before he sells us on. We will have to wait and see how things pan out but I tell you what the way the club is going about its business hardly excites or inspires the fans. The dwindling season ticket sales are testimony to that. I got a season ticket on the strength of how we finished last season i.e. on a positive but reading how we wont pay 500k for a player we want when we just sold one for two million reinforces all the negativity surrounding us and its getting boring now.

Doubt that very much, though, granted, the academy has to start delivering more. None of us truly know deans feelings re the academy - he has alluded to it needing to deliver more and I agree 100% with him on that. There are no excuses re facilities now and whilst our catchment area has big big clubs in close proximity, the continued stagnation of many young lads soon after they get a short sniff of the first team is really worrying IMO. It's time for some of these lads to kick on.......the club and supporters are desperate for them to do so, as it means we don't have to buy it in, and all fans love a home grown or developed lad to succeed.

If we can get anything near £2m for Scanz then I would drive him there myself. Don;t get me wrong, he's come on loads this last season, but his final ball is still far away from where it should be. Same with Vaughan. Any decent offer and I'd sell. As long as we reinvest it in someone that can play with Nahki and also lead the line when needed.

Nottingham forest away? Plus we drew most of those games and was the better side, Norwich at home, Brighton away!

Hmmmmm yes I can see why :/ The academy's job isn't to win titles at junior level though surely - it's there to produce lads for the first team and to sell for money badly needed to reinvest in the squad. Dean has set up the infrastructure now for years to come........it now has to deliver to justify the investment made and which will continue to be made.

I'll give you one thing, you're bloody consistent....... at ignoring wages I'd like to think we would pay that for the right player, but we can't employ someone if it would totally blow the wage structure.

I don't disagree with what you say, but my reply was in response to the OP's comment that he'd heard DH was unhappy with "whoever runs the academy", i.e. Mark Lillis. I just can't see DH being unhappy with Lillis. My opinion.
