Just out of interest wonder what this table would have looked like at the start of last season and if there was any correlation at all between odds at the start of the season and league position at the end of the season. Think we are going to be very competitive this season.

Those are pretty good odds to be honest. Silly not to lump a tenner on that.

Good, I hope everyone looks at us this way. There's quite a few teams "above" us that I think we'll definitely finish above and a few more I think we'll be in and around so there's no need to worry about this at all.

So in theory it should have finished....
Cardiff 11th Derby 8th Wigan 23rd Fulham 17th Norwich 3rd Boro 4th Watford 2nd Forest 14th Blackburn 9th Wolves 7th Bournemouth 1st Brighton 20th Ipswich 6th Reading 19th Bolton 18th Leeds 15th Brentford 5th Sheff Wed 13th Birmingham 10th Charlton 12th Town 16th Rotherham 21st Millwall 22nd Blackpool 24th
So the bookies got Blackburn and Blackpool right.
P.s. yes I am very bored.

I wouldn't be touching us to win the league at 100/1, as Ted says no value in that as its extremely unlikely to happen, now if we had just gone a massive shopping spree and bought in 5 top quality players and they were still offering 100/1 then thats value.
If you really want to wast 10/20 quid cover us to win promotion, far more sensible.

it's okay being the under dog, it'll only take 10 minutes for other teams' fans to start getting on their players backs for not wiping the floor with us.....and all season we'll have the 'little huddersfield' or 'bloody huddersfield' .. It's going to be a laugh next year isn't it....?

What are we for a top-half finish?
Also, I don't understand how our odds are actually worse than last year?

Im going for blackburn to be relegated not touching the promotion side of things. I agree. Chuck Franchise MK in there too. Most of their home games will be like away games. Plus I think they have Simon Church.

What are we for a top-half finish? 5/2 I suspect the people that made these odds were thinking that "the likes of Huddersfield" surely won't be any good this season. In fact, I hope message boards up and down the country are filled each week with supporters repeating how terrible it is to lose to "the likes of Huddersfield!"

I'll offer anybody on here 200/1

I'll offer anybody on here 200/1 Although I assume you're not being serious, you're effectively offering odds of 2/1 that an anonymous internet poster will pay up money they owe from a bet on an internet forum. Don't think you're gonna have many takers.

Doesn't seem right.

Rod Liddle in The Sunday Times tips Rotherham, Charlton, us and Reading to be the four to struggle in the Championship.
He supports Millwall, so his knowledge of football will be limited.

Just had a look on bet fair where we are 8th favourite to be relegated.
Looking at the odds for us either to be relegated or not, they have us as having between a 12.5% and 20% probability of going down. I'm not fully aware of what teams around us have done but personally I think we will be stronger than last year. I'd place us as closer to a 10% chance of relegation.

Where do you really think we shall finish this coming season? Looking back at our seasons could be a good indicator as to why they think we are worthy of such long odds. Bookmakers are not generally wrong, we shall see.

If we are in the Championship 5 years from now, we will still be one of the favourites to go down. Unfavourable, unfashionable that's us and I love it! The thing is every pundit makes assumptions which are quite often incorrect. What were the odds for us to go down last year?

Burnley down as relegation candidates & last season Wigan down as one of the promotion favourites along with Fulham.

Bookmakers are often wrong. (It is just a matter of spotting which way they are wrong.)
