The games were not broadcasted on Radio Leeds last season. I listened to them on the Medium , cannot remember the number though.

I believe* the only coverage will be on the town player, so you'll have to subscribe in order to get commentary.......
* I don't really and I've clearly made that up.

The games were on Radio Leeds, last season. Unfortunately they could not broadcast them on line (Due to "Player" owning the rights). They also had Leeds games as well, which meant us not being on FM, most of the time.

Pennine Radio? The pre-cursor if The Pulse? Chris Cooper, Will Venters and Tony Delahunty.

They are, and RL did cover games last season, they broadcast on three different frequencies (FM,MW, and DAB), it's just that Town were on MW and Leeds on FM, don't know who was on DAB though. As far as I know Bradford haven't got RL commentary for the second season running, so it will most likely just be the same arrangemnt as last season with who gets what frequency.

I pay £1.80 a month or so to listen to every Major League Baseball game (should I so wish) via an official app. I would happily pay a similar amount for a Football League version. I suspect I am not alone in that. I suspect that the opportunity would never arise (even if it was £2/month for one club, £4/mth for the whole set of clubs).

It'll be the usual, ie Leeds on FM and us on MW unless we're playing at different times or on different days (first day of the season with Leeds being at lunchtime for example, we'll have the start of our buildup on MW and then when their game has done (or when they've done blabbering on about it anyway) we'll almost certainly be on FM and MW. If we're playing on different days we'll almost always be on FM and probably MW as well.

Which wouldn't be too bad if the MW reception was fit for purpose, it's not in the Holme Valley and I cant get reception, any station except RL would be better for me, their obsession with Leeds United is extremely irritating also. I guess they must pay a bigger license fee in Leeds.

If I stand at the end of our garden holding a portable radio in the air at full stretch with aerial fully extended and pointed in a north-easterly direction I can just about pick it up. Hard to believe this is the service the BBC are providing me with in 2015. I've been listening to Town away games on the radio for about 35 years and never had any problem until recently. P1ss fecking poor from Radio Leeds United and the BBC. 774 MW isn't available to a LOT of people in West Yorkshire so RL need to either sort it or stop classing it as a viable alternative and either not cover Town games or share the FM frequency with their favourite team. Would DAB help? If so I may be forced to buy one to add to the other 10 radios in various forms I already own, I may stop paying the license fee this year to cover the cost.

DAB is a lot better quality and you 'should' be able to get a decent signal even if you struggle with MW edit. unless they stick sadford shitty or halifax on DAB this year.

May be a stupid question but is there a risk my DAB signal will be as crap as the MW one?

I think I remember reading that Leeds have to have both FM frequencies because one of them isn't very good/doesn't work very well in either Huddersfield or Leeds (can't remember which) so rather than giving us an FM frequency and them an FM frequency they get 2 (maybe even 3, can't remember) FM frequencies to themselves when we play at the same time as them, which is pretty poor really.
Wouldn't be so bad for example if people could get MW on their phones for example, but they can't. It's not exactly easy to get MW at all nowadays I'd imagine unless you're in a car or you have an old radio laying around at home somewhere.

Exactly, for me its about time they stopped pretending MW is a viable alternative, it isn't, even when the signal is good which it isn't for a lot of people.

You can get a Roberts MW Sports Radio for less than £20 on ebay and there are some even cheaper options. Being an old git who has never bothered with smartphones I actually retain a fondness for crackly ol' MW radio, as much as I accept it isn't perfect nor The Future of listening to match commentary.

Radio Leeds will have coverage of all our games this season. With Leeds being a lunchtime game we'll be on 774MW, 92.4FM and DAB (would imagine normally it'll be just 774MW for us when we play at the same time as Leeds).
