Logic isnt allowed mate Where is the logic in not having him on the bench? If Scannell had gone off injured after 20 minutes then it wouldn't have looked very logical And it Powell that psychic that he knew Scannell would be unavailable for tomorrow. With those sort of powers you'd think he be doing a far better job than he is He had hammill on the bench

Joe was the best player I saw in preseason, I was disappointed he was injured for the game at Hull. So if this is true and he was fit but not in the squad it is a disgrace. I have had it with Powell and his negative philosophy, BUT.....we lost all our preseason gangs against let league opposition and one issue raised in the post is his defensive work needs improving Sent from my HTC One mini 2 using proboards

Joe Lolley was & remains one of the most exciting, skillful players us at Kiddy Harriers ever witnessed! Better than Lee Hughes, etc, etc. His understudy Marvin Johnson was sold to Motherwell & immediately went straight into the team & saved Motherwell from relegation. Joe was a joy to watch, fearless, and scared defenders to death. You have your stats, check out his minutes on the pitch & his goals and assists. I have had fun with you on this forum, but i have seen a brilliant prospect taken by HTFC & destroyed. Forget shin splints, etc, etc. He destroyed Peterboriugh in the FA Cup on his own nearly 2 years ago now. Pity Glen Hoddle wasnt managing your club or Alan Curbishley, Powell was a bang average defender, his style is dour. Just let Lolley go, you'll make afew ££ on it. The kid is way better than the scant opportunities he's been given. Scannell is not a patch on him. Over & out. Pity he didnt join Peterbrough, they would have sold him to Villa by now.

Cautious, average manager = cautious, average football Cautious, average manager + cautious, average football = avoid relegation. #1 target achieved. Not the number 1 target in my eyes. Entertainment for my hard-earned money has to be. If it's all about the points and the position we're in then we may as well just stay at home and check the papers for the score - oh, hang on a minute - thousands are already doing that.

Joe would disagree with you i'm afraid, how the hell can you ignore a recurring injury? The truth is the fitness required to play regularly at this level is incomprehensible to you. Joe would tell you that.

Yes, he'd have been at Aston Villa. And who would he he have replaced in the starting line-up? Gabby Agbonlahor, £6m Rudi Gestede, or maybe £10m Jordan Ayew? Maybe just drop him back a bit and he could replace £2.5m Scott Sinclair. I like Joe, he's like an eager puppy who wants to please his owner but hasn't quite worked out how to run and wag his tail at the same time. The fact is at the moment he is a lightweight, one-trick pony with a recurring injury who doesn't deserve a regular starting a place. I won't mention the Scannell comment, as you have obviously never seen him play, but he may be injured tonight so who knows, Joe just might get some game time. If his shins are OK...

The problem Powell has is that he cant find a system to fit both him and Scannell into the same team.
We need to work out a way and quick - Joe deserves more game time once hes back fit.

He could have really freshened it up tonight but has gone for the conservative safety first approach again

Powell prefers Bunn because he gets back and helps the fullback. Bunn did absolutely nothing last night going forwards yets stayed on for 90 minutes and will most probably start on Saturday if Scannel isn't fit. I cannon believe folk are bemoaning Lolley as a one trick pony !! That's one more trick than Bunn who just tries to plough through the defenders !!

Peterbrough Chief Sports Writer has tweeted Joe's off to Peterborough if Paterson deal goes through - no mention of loan or permanent.

If Joe Lolley signs for Peterborough on a permanent deal he must be a screwball Why? He's hardly going to get a fair chance of progressing at Town whilst Scannell is here and if Patterson joins as well..... He's got to find some way to kick start his career... I'll admit he could do better than posh, but if they're the only team showing an interest then beggars can't be choosers.

If Joe Lolley signs for Peterborough on a permanent deal he must be a screwball Why? I know it's Posh but... more regular playing opportunities, a tactical model that suits his style of play more (admittedly not very hard to achieve considering we set up like a team from that 90s) and a club that will let him move on if he flourishes.

Loan to posh would be a good move IMO. Say what you like about Posh but they have a good record of progressing prospects

We have probably stalled this kids career by 2 years. We should have just let him go to Posh in the first place.

With the departure of Oscar, imminent departure of Vaughan, possible departure of Lolley - we can reduce the medical staff!
....but seriously - there is a theme there. I wonder if DH has just said (understandably) I want these sick notes off the payroll. Doesn't quite gel with getting Hews - but its a theory.
Personally I'd like to see Lolley on a long term loan somewhere - that's the only way to assess him properly given there is no strong reserve team set up.
