He was fit for virtually 30 games last season and never looked as good as anyone in this league. Unfortunately injuries have taken their toll with him and it's impossible to justify paying him what we do for what we get, even when he is fit. Mrg is indeed correct regarding Vaughans professionalism/attitude around the place. Hardly surprising that the little clique has been one by one discarded. Peltier, Gerrard, Hammill pretty much & now Vaughan. Sooner he's out, the better. Powell ! Fookin Whitehead AND Hogg in the same starting lineup at home FFs web have got talented players and this today....trakes Scanz off when he was starting to get better of a yellow carded Konchesky - why not take Shiotehead off and have Lolley down left and Scanz righy. Go 1 down and our partner to Miller is Lynch, Carayol should ave been on with 30 mins to go, pathetic negative tactics

Steals a wage - which one kept us up? Which one couldn't control the ball with his best chance of the game, almost hit the corner flag with a shot and was Lucky not to see red for his first half elbow

Stealing is taking something without permission. The Town hierarchy sanctioned his contract and do you know why he wasn't playing today? If so please enlighten us.

The lack of news/comment is a concern, to be fair. If he's injured, then we should know, if not ditto. If he's injured, que sera sera, if not and he won't play, then it's a disgrace.
Sooner or later the truth WILL come out

When fit Vaughan has always come across as having the right attitude, however Hoyle airing his dirty washing in public again cant't have helped his desire to play for us and maybe he's actively seeking a move.

He's also contracted to play for us and if (IF!!) fit and selected, he should damn well play. But as you said earlier, we don't know why he wasn't playing, do we? perhaps he's just not good enough?

How many minutes has he played this season? And how much has he picked up in wages in that time? Put the blame at the feet of the people who signed him in the first place we all knew his history so don't go slagging Vaughan off now he has always given his all for town unlike some in the present set up Hoyle as much to blame as anyone should have been given pay as you play contract in the first place good luck James

But enough's enough, it's taking the piss at this stage. I've been at games where he's done himself no favours whatsoever when it comes to injury. Heard he's more interested in following his Dad into property development at present so I'm sure he'll have nothing to worry about 'luck'wise.

Yes we need a striker but it's almost like you're blaming him for getting injured, which is quite frankly laughable. As for Miller the supposed 'work horse' - Well if he was a work horse then I'd expect him to win more headers and actually move for the ball. Worst player on the pitch today by a mile.

He works hard ?!! He couldn't score in a brothel. I agree about Vaughan leaving but he's more dangerous in the stand than Miller is on the pitch Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

Worst player on the pitch by a mile? Bollox. He's a limited player, we all know that, but Wells was far worse today. Miller doesn't win much in the air, but perhaps the team should know that and not play the ball up to him in the air? Common sense surely? He's not the most mobile, but when we worked out that he is more effective on the ground, he held the ball up reasonably well and brought others into play. What did Wells do other than miscontrol the ball and give it away? Don't get me wrong, I don't think Miller should be a first choice striker, and I think Wells is far better than he showed today, but judging them on today's performances alone Miller was far more effective than his strike partner. To suggest he was the worse player is, IMO, completely wrong, and to state he was the worst by a mile is just madness. As for being a work horse? I didn't see Miller being lazy today. The service up to him in the first half was poor, and the support play from the team in general wasn't great all game. I thought he did okay, limited though he obviously is.

The onlt thing in their favour was the fact that both players did not receive the right ball. Miller was crap, Wells' ball control was crap. All in all two poor players.

I can't believe the abuse Vaughan is getting on here. He's been told to leave, he's not asked. Far from being a prima donna, he's always been fully committed when playing for Town (probably too much, which has led or contributed to many of his injuries). Good luck James and thanks for the memories.

Shame we have to tarnish everything he has done by stooping to such lows

Good luck James and thanks for the memories. Well said. I think the time is right for Town and Vaughan to part company - the amount of time he's out injured has just become too much - but I can't understand the abuse he's getting either. Perhaps, at times, he's not looked after himself on the pitch, but that's just his character - he's a whole-hearted, all action type of player. Take that away from him and you have half the player. I'm sure Vaughan is as frustrated as anyone that he's not been able to play. I've seen no evidence to suggest he's a prima donna or happy to pick up a wage without playing. Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see the James Vaughan we saw a few seasons ago. Its right that he's been allowed to go, but we should respect what he's done for us and wish him all the best for the future.
