One thing I respect powell on is his ability to get rid of players and wheel and deal. After I calmed down over the ridiculous signings of crayon and huws, I see they will probably be good additions. Especially based on what I saw yesterday. My major worry now, is we lack quality in every position. Last year you could look at the team and think..... We could do with a class centre back. We miss Coady. He was probably the player out of everyone with a bit of extra class that shouldn't have been sold. If we had have just sold smithies to balance the books we would have been in a better position. Whitehead has been bang average so far. He's no barry Horne. I like Whitehead, I think he 'owns' the area he patrols and strikes fear in to any opposing Player who enters it!. A very useful addition to the Team. Not sure we can play both him and Hogg though if we want to create more chances for the front Men. Hogg though is playing well so difficult one.

He does the job he was brought for.... but he's replacing coady in the team? Totally different in my eyes. Huws as a box to box player may be the addition we need. But if he's replacing butterfield it's anoter defensive move!!! Is our strategy to keep it tight and if we score we win? It's not working, yes we look more solid, but we also look like we will concede one everyweek.. that team won't score 2 many weeks.

It certainly looks like Vaughan is on his way now and I am absolutely gutted . Make no mistake about it we are going to miss him . I thought Vaughan had a massive amount of passion for the game and probably did not do himself any favours with some of the challenges he would make but that was James Vaughan .
He has been one of my favourite strikers since I started watching Town back in the seventies and wish him all the best for the rest of his career. Its been a black weekend for me with Vaughan looking likely to leave and Town slumping to a home defeat.

So there are lots of opinions about how fantastic James Vaughan has been and how he has given everything for the club. I agree he is definitely one of the best all round strikers I have and will ever see in a town shirt when fit and in his first couple of seasons he seemed to want to run through brick walls for the cause. Recently though I have questioned his willingness to want to come back from injuries, even though there are recent examples of him playing through knocks and scrapes (like when he wore the face mask) but come on, most of us have thought he maybe could have played a bit more. I would bet my mortgage if he had been on a pay as you play deal he would have played more.
We don't see him on a day to day basis in training, what his attitude to his employers is like or if he is a so called billy big bollocks or not, but he always strikes me as having the 'I'm bigger than town' attitude.
I am glad to have seen him play for town, I'm not sure we would have been in this league without him, but we are now pretty established as a championship club, understand the parameters of staying in this league and need people who want to play for us. I do think think it's the right time for Vaughan to move on and I wish him well but I also think it will in the long term prove a good bit of business by the club to let him go.
Just for the record Town won't go doen this year with or without Vaughan.

It's a forum, people are entitled to their opinion whether you like it or not.. Calling for someone to be banned is pretty pathetic when he's clearly a fellow town fan with differing views to yourself.. If he was a Leeds wum then I'd agree.. Personally I think there's some reet bellends on here but I'd never call for them to be banned.. Just ignore or debate.

If you take what Nick says with a pinch of salt then you might even find him slightly amusing.. I'm sure some things he says is tongue in cheek but there's no doubting he creates debate on here! Failing that just block him.. I agree he can take things too far sometimes & leaves himself open to the pelters he gets, but no way should he be banned.

Vaughan was dynamite for us in his loan spell and the first season he signed for us. He'd bully defenders, work the channels like a beaver and come up with some vital goals. Since the start of last season though he's looked really out of sorts. I'm not sure whether it's a terminal decline or whether he was playing with too many knocks but his touch and confidence seems to have deteriorated.
If Wigan were to pick him up and we get a capable replacement in (please not Sordell) then I'd be happy. I've got a feeling that if he tips up at another team in our division he could well come back to punish us but it's best for everyone that he moves on.
Not sure who I'd like to get in to replace him, they need to be quick, strong and capable of 15 a season. He won't be easy to replace that's for sure. Don't know who would fit the bill that we could buy from lower leagues but if we're loaning someone it'd be good to get in someone like Izzy Brown at Chelsea (although he's gone to Vitesse Arnhem for the season). Surely there's a few like that in Premier League development squads?

That'd be a joke if true.. We should have started them too here up top! Why is that a joke, Tez? Vaughan could break down for them/us at any minute and if we give him to Wigan we get to use his wage. Hiwula obviously isn't the finished article and a year's competitive football with someone else could easily make him that. What's not to like about our thinking?

If rather have vaughan on crutches with a blindfold on than anthony gerrard sorry ishmail miller upfront - he'd be better with the Giants Pathetic comment, at least Ish works hard Vaughn just steals a wage, get bloody shut of the parasite. This is a disgusting remark to make even for a very sad man who plugs the gaps in his pathetic little life by WUMING on an internet forum.
