Inside info aside, it must be obvious to all that there's clearly a continuing issue with JV

Think about it. We're tightening the purse and JV is reckoned to be on 15 grand a week. Will anyone buy him and give him a 2 or 3 year contract on similar wages? 15k would be small change for the big money boys.......prob much more worth the punt for them than us. if he could play 15+games his quality would be worthwhile He wouldnt be much of a loss because sadly he's not done much for us recently. If we could drop smithies money and part of 15k wages on a standout striker talent we might be in a better place

Where has that figure come from? Unreliable sources - do you know that its not? I do know that he and Nahki are our top tier earners by some margin (source Dean Hoyle). No idea, just wondering if it was reliable or not. I'm inclined to suggest it's not true, given that Rhodes was on less than £10k per week when he was sold, and was said to be our highest earner by some margin (source Hoyle). Since selling Rhodes we've been working to reduce our playing budget, so would be surprised if we have someone on as much as £15k per week.

He does pick up some odd "leg" injuries and long term headaches though. The updates on his injuries from the club have been a bit suspect of late. Hasn't he always? He's always been injury prone, it's just that a year or so ago, the descriptions and updates from the club were a lot less vague and a lot more believable.

JV has played 49 games. Maybe the 50th could trigger new contract and wage rise clause

All this could well be bollocks but I heard exactly the same tale on Saturday. To be fair what use is a striker who doesn't want to or us constantly too unfit to play for us. I'd be more concerned over losing Wells although I'd be amazed if he's still here come the end of January.

Vaughan and Nahki are our top earners so if Vaughan was off the wage bill we could afford the wages of another top (ahem) striker, possibly a loanee, who could play a few more games and have a regular impact on the team.

Wasn't disputing that. Was just wondering where that figure had come from, it appears it was conjecture.

Anybody on the list know if its close?

He says: "Lolley and Vaughan should be available on Tuesday, everyone looks ok after the turnaround today. We're all systems go."

Inside info aside, it must be obvious to all that there's clearly a continuing issue with JV It's called his body

He says: "Lolley and Vaughan should be available on Tuesday, everyone looks ok after the turnaround today. We're all systems go." But we have two different types of "available" at Town, one is "for selection" and the other is "for sale". It's all a guessing game right now as to which fits

If true I will give the injury prone tired fucker a lift to the station --we would be well shut of this walking sicknote. Good player when fit but never fit

I don't think Vaughans head has been right since the Middlesbrough game, where he took a right clattering!

I am delighted if he is fit & certainly nothing against him personally but football is a business, he is one of, if not the most expensive assets we have and he doesn't play another games ie: provide sufficient return for the Club's significant investment. If you bought a new car and it was in garage all the time you would sell it and get another more reliable one.
