Please get someone else to conduct the interview next time Dean. I've got nothing but respect for the money you've invested in the club, but you clearly can't pick a manager. Powell's tactics are bizarre. He keeps signing offensive midfielders & forwards, not play them, and then start with two defensive midfielders and play damage limitation football with a back four that are clearly not up to the task. If he wants to play so cautiously why doesn't he spend the little money we have on defenders rather than waste it on attack minded players who never bloody play!

Absolute rubbish. I dont get what he was doing today with the substitutions, but I think he's got it right with the last 3 appointments. If it was left up to the fans, we'd have ended up with Nigel Adkins, Aidy Boothroyd or Neil bloody Lennon.

12 wins in 47
Equivilent of 54 points in 47
Average 1.15 points a game - 25.5% win rate v Robins 1.22 points a game 33.8% win rate
Someone said 3 wins in 23?
Performance today better, well in terms of effort - no quality in the final 3rd. Same result
Season ticket sales down
Average attendance 3 games (early days, no huge away support yet) way down
Negative, dull football - negative changes week after week after week cost us last week and again this
Ive happily pay for him to go first class to kings cross - seems a nice guy, not up to the task though. Nowhere near

You're not talking about today are you? We tried to get at them first half but yes it was still dull How many chances created? How many shots on target - stats say 1, I'd argue 2 Still 2 holding midfielders all game Then the switch to 1 upfront and sit deeper

Feel sorry for you if you think its dull. Thought today was very entertaining myself even though there wasn't much goal action. The blackburn game was good except from the last 20 mins and the brighton game was great in the 2nd half after an average first.
Both late subs today gave us a spark that we needed going forward IMO

I don't see how anyone can think bringing lolley and carayol on were in any way negative moves... I was a bit gutted to see scanz come off but those two lads added flair pace and excitement

You're not talking about today are you? Not in the second half - the football was pretty good, if toothless. I would agree it was dull in the first half though. Very dull.

I would have liked to have seen the lad from Boro on for Wells a bit earlier as Nahki was clearly having a poor game. I think Scanz went off because he was knackered, probably because as usual he got little support from Smith and had to do everything on his own.

I'd have to say it wasn't powell's fault today. We played well against a good side and deserved a point.
I do think he is to blame for not taking 3 points from Blackburn and could have taken a more positive approach against Hull and maybe just maybe he could have done something to prevent us sitting so deep against Fulham.
The question is can Powell turn it around with a bit of backing in the transfer market this week. Or should deano hold some cash back in case we need to appoint a new manager who will obviously want a few of his own players too.

They had a good starting XI, a huge budget, and have started the season well but personally thought they were distinctly average today. They were there for the taking.

Scannell had drifted out of the game and looked tired. It was right to take him off IMo and Lolley had a few good little runs through the middle- something we'd been lacking up to then. And Caryall ( sp) had their right back on toast when we managed to get him into the game, offering a threat down that flank that we hadn't had. It didn't happen for us but I thought we looked more likely to score with those 2 on then before. On another day...

Yeah, he looks to be struggling fitness wise but thought he had a decentish game overall. Caryoll does appear to have pace and he did roast the QPR right back twice, although was denied by good tackles on both occasions. To me its crying out 4-4-2 with two out and out wingers.

I don't agree, I think they were clearly very talented man for man and we deserve credit for stopping them playing. Suggesting they were 'there for the taking' is daft IMO

With Blackpool and Birmingham? WUM No mate with Town, 50 % And we scored goals. Seriously give it a rest. You cant compare Clarks win percentage/points per game ratio, etc with anyone who's managed since. Totally different budgets compared to the other teams in the division. You do understand this, dont you?

So Galpharmer you've paid your £300 and Deano's committed his £36m and plenty more to try and swim against the football tide. If it was as easy as you claim, I'm sure Hoyle would make it work. Think about the knee jerk nonsense you spout before you make yourself look foolish.

Some fans!! are beyond me they really are. After the game this moron what rabbiting on about how sh@t Powell is and how poor we were today. We came up against a good side today and deserved a point, even though we were desperately lacking up front. We have now played 3 out of the top 4 but with a more potent front two, we could easily have won two out of the last 4 games. Of course its disappointing when we don't win especially at home and lets face it, some fans just don't like Chris Powell and he cant do right for wrong. Just a pity he hasn't had the money that Lee Clarck had to spend.

We are well organised and hard to beat under Powell. We are in every. These are exactly what we wanted from the next managerial appointment. Not a shower of shit defensively and not dead and buried in games after 20 minutes.
We are lacking a quality striker that Vaughan was. With him leaving I think we'll see a decent replacement. No one has a right to win in this league.
I also think Hughes will make a difference as he may play just the one DCM with Hughes tucked in on the left.
Changing manager every season is not the answer and just leaves every incumbent with a squad of players they don't want on long contracts.

With that logic Solihull Moors in National League north is a better side and have a better manager than Chelsea because they are first in their league and chelsea aren't... how old are you, seriously?

I’m getting really frustrated with Mr ‘Negative’ Powell. QPR and Blackburn were there for the taking, even Brighton weren’t at their best but we just play not to lose.
Why do we play Hogg and Whitehead at home, none of the midfield bomb forward leaving our front 2 or 3 isolated. We often have only 1 player in the box when we attack make no wonder we cant score.
Lolley needs a run of games in the team – Powell cant fathom a way to get him and Scannell in the same team. Work it out Powell.
Right back a big problem.
Lack of strikers now becomes a problem ig Vaughan goes.
Not sure on how long Hudson will be out but the loan of Wallace doesn’t seem great now either.
September is a massive month especially 2 two home games which are both winnable if we play with more attacking freedom.

Why not take one of our holding mids off ? preferably Whitehead who is simply not mobile enough to play this role, and cant be included simply because of his organizing abilities and experience.
