The over reaction by the (some) QPR fans would be because they were shocked (and surprised) to find their team in front...a mixture of relief, euphoria, drink etc ..something we never seem to have (since the Wembley shoot out) so can't relate to it anymore... We're just jealous..we never get late winners anymore...in fact no winners at all recently...

I stood outside the players entrance hoping to meet Charlie Austin which I did - tell a lie wanted to see Alex Smithies really and chatted with a few QPR fans there who were all lovely saying we didn't deserve to lose. But like I said - they took the chance and finished it. Shame a few think they are boss given they were PL last season for managing to beat Town with all the cash they throw around. Should be no contest really. That guy at the front of South Stand though waving his arms like a traffic warden - what a pillock

I think some of us need to man up a bit and take defeat on the chin when it happens. How do you expect away fans to behave when they get a late winner?

I don't think London is a shithole and I think it's a great capital city, I enjoy going down and always look ok forward to it. QPR fans are like all others, they have there fair share of dicks but so do we and a bit of banter after the game is always expected surely?

I think some of us need to man up a bit and take defeat on the chin when it happens. How do you expect away fans to behave when they get a late winner? Henry, when we play at say Boro away, on leaving the ground if we have just robbed them with a late goal. Start then whilst wandering in and amongst their fans singing "Middlesbrough's a shithole, I want to go home" and tell them to 'Man up a bit' when they take exception (oh and question their sense of humour as it's only 'banter') and tell me how you get on............. Now I love all the banter and 'toing and froing' between fans. Big part of the game for me. This though is out of order and the vast, vast amount of away fans would deem this both stupid and likely to get you in serious bother. Clearly, they thought that the fans of little old Huddersfield would be fine with 'Big QPR' fans coming here and taking the absolute piss. Maybe some see this specifically as banter, I don't and would never do it myself. Each to their own though.

I couldn't live down south me. Tried it once and lasted only 2 months. Flat and boring Crap beer Aggressive folk No way What, all of them are aggressive "folk"? You probably drink John Smiths the non brewed condiment equivalent of beer. Another post that just makes you sound like a blinkered, uneducated, inward looking, embarrassing, yokel. It is obvious you have barely been out of whatever godforsaken village you and all your ancestors come from.

I think the bits you see when you go down as a tourist are fantastic and it is definitely one of the best cities in the world. Love the history everywhere, the buildings, museums, galleries etc . One of the great things about our nation and its fantastic we still have a living royalty as part of our heritage and culture because it makes all that pomp and history 'real' somehow. But the rest of london where you don't go as a tourist is generally a shithole. A depressing never ending dirty concrete sprawl full of depressed looking people from all corners of the globe living their lives in a rat race of grime, traffic, noise and crowds.

My experience of QPR fans was complete opposite to that described here.
Met up with a few beforehand in pub, no 'larging' and some decent self deprecating humour about their team and its prospects...joined us after for 30 mins before catching trains and were to a man humble in defeat.
On the match they were confused why we took Scannel off, and thought we would have won comfortably if we had their strikers...or indeed any strikers.
They don't seem billy big balls about being a "Premier League team" at all, and consider Town a "proper club" like theirs, that attracts decent fans who know what it's like to follow shit whilst looking grudgingly envious at their neighbours getting bigger crowds, spending loads of money and simply being "better".

Wouldn't drink it by choice (thankfully there usually is a choice nowadays).

Some of the sad narrow minded people on this forum seem to forget that many people move on to better themselves. If you have managed to do so I can only be grateful that I wasn't aware of you before your Paignton Devon enlightenment.
