The club has many strings to its bow. The club can be proud of the under 21s and academy to a certain extent. The various charities the club has set up and others that it is involved with is to be commended. My view is that all focus should be on the first team, everything is nice to have but not the aim of the club in many supporters' eyes. We surely must want to be where Bournemouth are, for example. Do Bournemouth fans give two hoots that their under 21s play in a league against Wimbledon, Cambridge, Leyton Orient and Luton to name but four? Are Leeds fans impressed when they taunt us with another season finishing above us by the reply that we feed lots of kids and lots of people cycle a lot of miles every year. Worthwhile efforts that they are, ultimately we want the first team to be more successful. The only way is to focus all commercial activities on getting sponsorship for the club to improve the first team squad. I know my views may not be shared by many, but ultimately it is the first team why we support the Town.

I don't see how the Pedal for Pounds thing, or similar, has an adverse impact on the first team. Most of the funding that comes in to the academy wouldn't be there in the first place to go towards the immediate first team. I'm proud of our club. I think we do a lot of things the right way. Sure there is room for improvement, but, the hierarchy do seem to listen and take on board the fans views.

The first team always has to be the priority. It's no use winning the U21 league or the Academy league if the academy isn't delivering players to the first team, great setup, being family club of the year etc. etc. if the first team's not doing the business.
Worrying times. Rumours that Vaughan is training on his own, crowds plummeting, the academy not delivering as it should. Not good. Everything would be different if the first team was delivering, but it's not.

They made a mistake scrapping the central league...there were some flipping good games there..
