Surely it is an undisclosed 3.5m!
We can buy ten new Butterfield's with that & might just end up with a better team/squad by the end of play tomorrow.

This wouldnt be half as annoying if we werent lied to about it in the first place. So who are we going to build the team around now?

You never know fellow fans who might be arriving in the loan season. keep your chins up...all of them Or who we might buy in the next 24 hours. I'm more than happy to give DH and his team some flex on this. When Clayton left there was similar threads to this and others about how irreplaceable he was - then Butterfield and Coady came in. I admire your optimism but this sale has come on the back of 2 more on the eve of the window closing. We were struggling to fill the gap left by Coady already now we've lost the only midfield creativity we had. It's going to be one hell of a job keeping us up from this car crash start to the season.

What's the position if Butterfield gets a serious knee injury next week and is out for 9 months,ie Holt,Robinson,if he goes we move on.I have no doubt we will have replacements Dempsey,Hews,he cost £3million so no mug,and only 21,Dempsey 19. The only constant in football is change.

Calm down chaps, we haven't had this confirmed, nor do we know the sale price if it is. We will not have sold Butterfield without a plan, so let's see what develops before we all believe we are relegated. Christ talk about over reaction, it's hardly the end of the story is it. We will have a plan I'm sure, sadly it will either involve signing someone on loan or on the cheap. Or possibly someone in a different position.

Neither do I, you can't keep selling your best players. Butterfield could well be the difference in staying up and going down and if we go down that 3.5m will pale into insignificance. good player as he is, one person does not dictate whether we stay up or go down. It can be when he is the third first team player to go and our best player... Eventually it has an effect and this could be the difference. Liverpool and Suarez... One man team.

The start has been promising if you ask me.

Is it balls good business for us. Integral player. When he plays well we play well. Anyone could see against qpr when he got the ball he makes things happen. Take him out of that side and it looks bleak

Quite simple really - Dean Hoyle has said that when we get money like this it is re-invested in the squad. I'm disappointed if Butterfield is going but I 100% believe Dean Hoyle - the man has never let the club down yet. We should wait and see what happens in the next 10 days.

So does that mean we sell Scannel if an offer come in for him, then wells ?
Where does the making a profit stop ? I think it should stop at smithies for now, sell Butterfield next year.
Powell has made it clear time and time again in the media that Butterfield is our main man and Integral to the team. I think that is Powell saying do not sell him under any circumstances.

Galpharm 2400,just grow up and realise this is business ,plenty of good players out there, and in my opinion £4 million approx terrific price, can't turn it down. Also have you considered that Butterfield could say no.Players aren't bothered where they play its all about the money. You just don't see anyone else's point of view just your immature and negative shite ,page after negative page.

We turned down £3.6m before Saturdays match so why would we now accept less.

Probably the single biggest reason free scoring Derby missed out on the playoffs last year. Should be playing for Accrington, if at all.
