If no cash is spent on a decent signing today attendances are going to plummet even lower. Bristol City have brought in Liam Moore big and fast be a great player with lynchy at the back missed out on him. I also can't believe we didn't get a player from Derby also a rb maybe Ryan shotton on or Cyrus Christie in the deal. Jamie Paterson deal is now dragging and we are going to be left with egg on our face of things don't change

Wouldn't that be "the supporters are steaming" rather than fuming?

Im not sure that deano really thought through the long term effects of constantly selling our best players and the negative effect that has on supporters. I think most understood Rhodes, They could just about see the value in Norwood and Clayton for Butts and Coady....
This year however, we have forced smithies out of the club, sold coady who said he would like to speak to wolves, but would have stayed and the sold butterfield and blamed the player!! FFS. Worse still we havent brought any genuine replacements, maybe dempsey is the replacement, but if its huws on loan, then were does that leave the business plan? the "revolving door"? We dont seem at the moment to have anyone left to sell... Wells and Scanz next year?
We should be building a squad we can afford rather than subsidising inflated wages by constantly selling our best players..... 3 hours to go, but another winger on loan and a back-up keeper isnt going to quash the current dissatisfaction.
BIG 3 HOURS!!!

BIG 3 HOURS!!! Pretty well put, But to be fair i have no faith in the board anymore, It's not knee jerk or anything like that, I understand the plan and the constraints i just don't agree with them, We either need to build a squad or we need to say fuck it we accept we are going down. What i won't accept is listening to the bull that comes from the chairman which satisfies some supporters for a short time. I have said it before and i will say it again Yes Dean has put lots of money into the club, But do not kid yourselves with the profits he has made on players he cert is reducing his losses a lot quicker than some on here like to believe, Using the excuse that DH is spending shit loads of his own cash lasts only so long

The fellow ST and regular attenders I know aren't 'fuming' they are waiting to see how it pans out. A couple of friends that follow Town on twitter and SSN are fuelling up another reason why they've not been for a few years.

There's a total lack of ambition at the club now. Selling our best and not having replacement's it's like the self destruct button as been pressed yet again. We need 2 cbs as we cant defend and at least 2 strikers as we cant score. Miller will be lucky to get 5 this season. To be honest im totally pd off at the moment. But have been here before as a supporter of 50 yrs

Not blaming anyone. The group I go with have seen way worse than this but those that have fallen away would stay away if we signed Messi as they'd want Ronaldo as well, lets just see, maybe Powell can build the squad he is happier and better with?

I am not fuming, or steaming. We have a side in the Championship and I will be happy until that changes. Which isn't going to be for some time yet. UTT

btw, I have been watching for almost 50 years, I have seen much worse but in context of the divisions we were in . Yes I have witnessed the false dawns before and I am watching another one now, fading fast..
Please dont tell people they are never going to be satisfied when you offer them 'just doing enough'..

I think at the moment there appears to be no kind of direction especially in the transfer market.
Nobody can argue with the profit made on JB but the deal once again has been left so late in the day.
Yes the loan market is still available but what kind of stability does a club achieve with constantly bringing in loan players. Yes we've had a couple of success stories here but these have been an exception to the rule
The championship is now a tough ask for a club like ours and it seems infinitely tougher this season than ever before. So many clubs seem to be spending money whilst we on the other hand seem to be doing the opposite
I think it will be a remarkable achievement if we can stay up this season.

We cannot control when a club matches our asking price in a bidYes the loan market is still available but what kind of stability does a club achieve with constantly bringing in loan players. Yes we've had a couple of success stories here but these have been an exception to the rule The 2 best players in the division last season were season long loans Pritchard and BamfordThe championship is now a tough ask for a club like ours and it seems infinitely tougher this season than ever before. So many clubs seem to be spending money whilst we on the other hand seem to be doing the opposite Profiteering on players like Smithies, Coady and Butterfield is the only way we can generate funds for spendingI think it will be a remarkable achievement if we can stay up this season. IMO No more remarkable than in previous seasons when selling Rhodes, Hunt and Clayton

Reason why I say remarkable is simply because more clubs are spending crazy money.

And both those players are no longer with us
Yes I'd agree both unrealistic targets but this what I'm getting at with stability
Of course we need to sell so we can balance the books. I think the profits we have made are exceptional.
I do think we are stuck between a rock and a hard place and I can assure you DH shouldn't throw his fortune into the club.

Vaughan, as you say, costing way too much for what we get out of him. Butterfield WANTED to leave and join Derby from the moment they came in. I already knew that a fortnight ago. Why bother trying to keep someone who patently doesn't want to stay? Great price! Move on!

Its ok we are after Shola Ameobi to partner our 30 goal striker Ishmael Miller up front. It's getting ridiculous now.
