Coady let go by Liverpool 300k,they obviously didn't rate him. Butterfield,Norwich,Mboro, didn't get a look in,they didn't rate him. Smithies lost count of the posts on here ,worst keeper in division etcetera Caryol pace Hews,21 yr old play maker, pacey Paterson central midfield attacking player One thing our team with Coady and Butterfield playing lacked was pace. At least we no longer have to endure Butterfieds appaling set pieces. It's all opinions. Aye and mine is you spout bollocks Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

no-one forces the players out - we seem to be OK with leaving Vaughan out because he appears not to fancy playing, while still picking up £800.000 per annum, but when a player is offred a much better package to move we call him out.
Get a grip - we are OK

Regardless of what Dean Hoyle said about Butterworth not being for sale, I feel it was done in a business kind of way to force a higher price, seems like he achieved his aims. Anyway it seems you can't please everybody all the time and things will divide opinions. I have read plenty who have stated that the manager should play the youngsters and give them a chance, well his hand might have been played for him in this transfer window. I hope it does. I do feel that the young players are in a catch 22 situation, considered not ready to start in the first team, yet at the same time not getting any experience at that level to be able to improve either.

Hey Portugal, i mean you no malice. Just don't accept the reasons you gave as I thought they could easily be turned on their head.
Good to have differing opinions or this would be one hell of a boring place.
I seriously hope you are right and these lads come through.
Frustrating day after expecting to see a few quality signings come in.

Smithies was not forced out. He was told QPR had made a bid and was he interested in talking to them? If Smithies had given a straight NO answer that would have been the end of it. He obviously let the £ signs sway any hesitation he may have had imo. How do you know this? I don't know it for a fact. If I was Smithies, contracted to play for my home town and if moving clubs was going to create such a big upheaval in my home life at the time, new baby etc I would have said NO. If and it is a big if someone at the club started to play hard ball and mind games he should have been big enough to stand up for himself. Nobody forced his hand to sign the QPR contract.

Although disappointed with the Coady/Butterfield departures and the Vaughan situation the main thing that really disappoints is the lack of any loyalty whatsoever from players ,therefore must try a gain some encouragement from new arrivals, one of which is that they all have more pace than those leaving.I am sure some marque signings will arrive but hopefully for less money. I do not think that Coady and Butterfield are worth the money that has been paid. Cheers Ciyorki.

Yes I get that but you gotta reinvest some of the money not sell then bring in loans. If you gotta sell a key player have aback up plan or don't sell

I am a fan and I'm not fuming, personally think our signings have vastly improved our squad,Coady one paced ,Butterfield wanted to do everything slow to make the final pass,Smithies just a run of the mill keeper. Let's see how we are in 10 games.dont see many teams in our division strengthening.Up the Town. Mate I have read many of your posts and normally agree but you have had a mare on this one, Butters was the only player that could inject pace into out forward moves, let's hope Patterson can do the same and Huws can bring something a little different

Why pay vastly inflated prices, no way Butterfield is a 4mill player, let the market settle sure that Town will have someone in mind ,Time for Dempsey,Huws,Patterson to be given a chance ,maybe even Lolley.

Mightyterrier can honestly say that Butterfield was a quality player for us however I always felt that he was one of the reasons our build up play was a little pedestrian at times, just my opinion ,

Derbys better player Bradley Johnson ? So you didnt rate our best player by a country mile ? Sorry just seen your reply to another post. He couldnt inject much pace cos Scanz was the only teammate with any. Now we may have pace but no bugger to play the killer ball.

Because doofus, when the transfer window re-opens in January, like the excuse the club uses, the prices are even more inflated than they are in the summer window. We'll be staring relegation in the face by then with £8M in the bank (or Deans loan fund). Clubs will know that.

Like I said, which YOUTH CB's and strikers would you step up to the first team, considering the best two prospects have been loaned out to cut the wage bill? (Wallace and Hiwula).
