We would probably have had to spend 5-6 million atleast to bring in Huws, Carayol and Paterson. We've just got them all for a season for nothing (wages aside)
They haven't become bad players overnight and I'm pretty sure they'll prove it
Just a positive thought to end the day

I'm sure all three of them will be good signings but they're not in the areas we need to strengthen the most.

"How can he be? 'Boro don't want him"

Ahhh, but It would have cost us 9 million to sign Coady, butterfield and smithies today.

Something else from 12 months ago;
Social media is an absolute nightmare. As is the case on all internet forums, it’s always the minority that is the most vocal. They have direct contact with us through electronic communications and its always those people that never turn up.
“I go to a load of fans’ forums and people always ask me questions. I tell people they can ask me whatever they want and I’ll give them an honest answer. These people (the vocal minority) never turn up to those as they won’t meet you face to face.
“At the end of the day, what we need is positivity. There’s lots to be positive about. Look where we’ve come from. We’re the only football club in West Yorkshire that has a stake in its own ground. That took a long time, but we’re the only football club that’s done it; Bradford City are tenants and Leeds United, at this moment in time, are tenants. We’re the only football club in West Yorkshire that owns its own training ground. It’s not a bad platform and that’s what we need to be positive about. We’ll get things right and move forward – that’s my view.”

Yes but they are all loans and if they do perform will cost us millions to buy at the end of that loan

12 months ago today we needed to play Pelts at right back, And had a midfield triumvirate which could have really kicked us on this season with a couple of quality additions without spunking loads of brass and a sprinkling of luck.

I needed 3 new tyres on my car today. Luckily, when I went to Kwik-Fit they leant me an exhaust pipe, a brake pad and a set of furry dice for 12 months instead. I'm sure my car will fly through it's MOT.

I am not at all convinced, the players are likely to be capable but the balance is all wrong for me. That said I can question all I like we've got to get on with it now. Let's hope that some positivity runs through the team.

We won't be able to buy quality players or pay the wages for more loan players as there will be no valuable players left to sell.

We’ll get things right and move forward – that’s my view.” A very valid point and I think that we are almost at the point where those who use Social Media should have a licence. This is not just to football related matters but across the board. I think in a lot of cases people say things on social media for effect, just follow others like lemmings or are just naturally negative and just complete K****ers. It is so easy to spout drivel and bollocks from behind a keyboard away from the glare of public scrutiny AND yet when these so called "experts" in football matters are given the opportunity to speak their mind in a public arena, they suddenly become very quite. I use the example of the recent QnA by DH at Canalside where a person known for his continual negative attitude towards the Club was invited to give comment during the QnA but declined. Clearly he could not stand the thought of his negative arguments being put under public scrutiny. I believe there are about 100 persons who spout drivel on the Social Media which taken in the context of just season ticket holders alone is a small percentage but as you rightly say they are the ones that demand attention and shout the loudest. It is only a matter of time that I think that those loud and vociferous minority will push it too far and there will be a huge back lash against them. The significant failing by many is not having patience. All those that spout drivel want things now and if not throw their toys out of the pram. Everything is so simplistic but the reality is that it is not. People should allow those that are in charge of the club to get on with their jobs instead of continually sniping at them. I do not see all those that have this negativity stepping forward and offering their money to support the club to the same level as DH indeed I am convinced that all those that are being negative are probably not even season ticket holders, whilst not being a prerequisite for being allowed a say in what happens really shows that if they were that bothered they would support the club financially.

We just need to add a quality striker (& possibly a CB) when the loan window opens. It can be done, e.g. Beckford a few years ago & Holt last season and there is money to do it. As bad as the JB blow was, if it allows us to do just that, then maybe we might end up with a team that is stronger overall.

Very true, I fully expect the club has some deals up its sleeve and lets face it if they haven't then someone's not doing their job. I'm quietly confident we'll see a quality new striker and RB on loan at a minimum.
