I have to say that Miller is not the answer, runs and jumps like he's got lead weights in his boots we need a different option.

Vaughan on a pair of crutches would offer more goal threat than Miller.

If I was a fan of any other team and had just watched that, I'd be thinking *thank f*ck Miller doesn't play for my team*.

Miller should of been subbed instead of Carayol and bunn looked to have trouble keeping the ball at his feet very poor today

Vaughan on a pair of crutches would offer more goal threat than Miller. Stick a blindfold on him as well 5 goals in 95 shots in 2 seasons, cows arse and banjo spring to mind!

Just Miller and wells 'available' strikers simply unacceptable situation that should ave been avoided with a quality acquisition or 2 in summer

Just Miller and wells 'available' strikers simply unacceptable situation that should ave been avoided with a quality acquisition or 2 in summer This. It simply cannot be allowed to go on like this. We have to take a hit and leave one of the loan players we have out of the squad so that we can sign and play a decent striker on loan loan signing

Have been giving him the benefit of the doubt but today changed it.
1, He couldn't trap a bag of cement 2, He's down easier than a cheap prozzy 3, He wins less in the air than the Swiss Air Force.
Watched the game with a few neutrals today and the main comment was "What The Fuck Is That"?
Don't give me this 'Leads the line' shit, it wont wash!
Embarrassing!!!

Like others, I've said for weeks, he's possibly the worst striker I've seen at the club in years. You can forgive ability to a degree if it comes with endeavour however, he offers us neither. As for he holds the ball up and leads the line, I tell you what, I can do that free.
But for all that, the manager picks him week in, week out and, keeps him on the field.
Pretty embarrassing that the worlds just had the chance to watch that performance today.

At the risk of the font of all knowledge (Ted) complaining what I don't understand is why for such a big man he is so lightweight any physical contact and he is complaining he has been fouled if you could tie his legs to his lips he would be the worlds fastest runner.
I don't think anyone can defend his lack of technical ability (Ted might try) you can see more skilful players in the park on a Sunday morning
I am starting to wonder about CP because he must have a better plan than knocking it long to someone who is unable to bring others into the game, hold the ball up,or be quick and mobile enough to allow us to press the game further up the field.

leon best.. miller knows his time is short and he didnt even care too much today... bench after mondays loan signing..
at the very least your centre forward has to be a nuisance, he wasnt even that today.. he lacked support and even after wells came on it didnt look any better but he isnt strong enough or quick enough to be a pain for defenders..
he might be better at chasing stuff if he wasnt continually moaning and wasting what little breath he seems to possess...

If we're not going to use Vaughan then its time to give young Bojaj a go up front. He can't be any worse than Miller and his record at U18/21 level suggests he knows where the net is.

Miller has done a job for us at times, but he's obviously not the long-term answer. He's extremely limited technically, but I think he needs far more support. If we're going to play him - and perhaps his time is now over if Best signs - then he needs players around him to play off. Leave him isolated and he's a waste of a shirt.
I don't subscribe to the view that he's the worst striker we've ever had - I've seen the likes of Jon Newby and Keigan Parker play for us - but he's not the sort of player we should be relying on. Hopefully we will get reinforcements in soon and we can sort out our obvious weaknesses up front. Huw's recent goal scoring run has masked the fact that we are woefully short in the striking department. Its a shame, because the rest of our play is generally alright. As I said in another post, if Afobe had been playing for us today it may well have been a different result.

Robert Lewandowski - 5 goals in 9 minutes Sergio Aguero - 5 goals in 20 minutes Ishmael Miller - 5 goals in two and a bit seasons
Oh and Leon Best 6 goals in three years.
We really need to aiming a bit higher in standard when looking for our next striker.

For a big guy he can`t Head a ball Trap a ball Fend off defenders Have a shot on target with any power. I could go on however its a waste of time as the bloke is a luxury we cannot afford. On the Best front I saw him play for the development squad and he was pants. He did not have a shot all game and was easily marked by inexperienced defenders. We are now paying the price for not signing a decent forward as we offer little threat in the last third. Looks like it will be a long hard season unless something dramatic happens.

In the last 2 seasons, 95 shots, 5 goals. If we want a big guy upfront we'd be better playing Lynch. If Miller is the answer, I dread to think the question. As per earlier poster, vaughan on crutches offers more of w threat. And as for bjojaj- the negative one thinks he's blooded him in now.... he was on tea duty two games running, he'll need until christmas to take in the experience

Millers is a poor man's chief (Wayne Allison for those too young) ha ha - i thought that myself today when i watched the game a little later than most of you. I agree that Miller does not cover himself in accolades, and i doubt he will score any more than three goals this entire session. I would go out on a limb and say he wont score at all, but every blind squirrel finds a nut. in his defence the rest of the team do not help him. they leave him isolated at times, throw a long ball at him, but there is no one there breaking fast to pick up the lay off. For what its worth, although he never looked like producing anything Miller was better than Bunn. if we have Miller in the side Bunn has to get close to him, and stop wandering around wherever his mood takes him.

Shove Miller in the gym for a month or the bin, not fussed which. Don't understand why we paid all that money for Nakhi, who IMO will score plenty of goals given the ball in and around the box, to sit on the bench. He's a proven scorer, not surprised he's a bit short on confidence when he's watching Miller doing FA. Don't know why Town persist with a lump up top as an outlet. We pass the ball around nicely at times so fuck the long ball shit. Also don't get why Carayol was pulled off for Nakhi, what does he see in Miller? Maybe a trip to the opticians is in order

He would be better sitting at home watching the TV as he should not be on a championship football pitch he is absolutely rubbish. Even if he could do any of the above which he carnt why does he moan so much and go down so easily he makes Gary Roberts look like the worlds toughest footballer.

Went to the game yesterday, not a great performance and well beaten by a quicker far more creative Wolves. We are crying out for a good striker as I cannot see Miller scoring or creating many goals and Wells looked bored and totally disinterested yesterday. Also It is about time that Patterson had a run in the side otherwise what is the point of adding him to the squad?

It's gobsmacking how people can still defend him. He is absolutely crap.
If the level we are aiming at is Ishmael Miller, Shola Ameobi and Leon Best then we are truly fucked.
