Lincoln C away (early 80's?) - won 2-1 after they'd been undefeated there all season. Usual crappy trip along A roads...
Barnsley home (maybe 80-81 season)? Won 1-0, huge crowd, Stanton with a trademark winner...
Newport County, 1-0, sublime left foot from Cowling...

Scored in all the big games Top my list being his winner at bellend road in the milk cup. What a night , made even better the next day at school. Wolves away a couple if years ago was a special away day as well

All games
1) Brentford away playoff penalty win
2) L666s away with the Cowling header
3) Lincoln home playoff draw after being 2-0 down.
League games..
1) Brighton 7-1 2009 just days after a 3-1 win against Southampton - utter demolition.
2) Walsall 4-3 win with the last kick after falling behind 3-2 (Troy Deeney) having held a 2-0 lead against 10 men.
3) Newport 1983 Cowling again for our last automatic promotion.

I might be an old fart but I'll take some convincing to prove that it was anyone other than Stanton scored the winner against Barnsley. I think it was a Div 3 (now L1) fixture and even recall the attendance as either 28,901 or 29,801... Barnsley played their part in that crowd of course...
That's without referring to google so a memory test to boot... :-)

Steve Smith played a master stroke by bringing cork from out wide to partner shearer...

Not so many to pick from but so far:
Leeds away Michael Collins last minute winner
Wolves away Beckford's quickfire brace, crucial game too
Bournemouth at home in the play offs
Brighton at home 7-1
Sheff Utd play off final, obviously
Peterborough play off final, regrettably
And my first ever away game, losing 6-2 at Scunny in 2003, i'm amazed I still go after that
Edit: Can't believe i forgot the Division three play offs against Lincoln and Mansfield
Edit 2: I now realise I can only pick three, silly me

I suppose I'm allowed a memory lapse from 35 yrs ago (that's frightening in itself...).
Ted, I've always room for some humble pie, it's the ones that don't think it's on the menu that I worry about...

So many already mentioned. Lincoln at home, Blackburn 3-1 away a good shout.
Two not mentioned yet that always stand out:
Town 6 Bradford 3, New Year's Day 1983 (Stanton with 4). The Shearer-inspired 5-2 wasn't bad either.
Chelsea in the league cup, Kenny Irons.
That night at Brentford goes without saying.
The three play-off final wins were a bit special, probably Old Wembley, New Wembley, Millenium in that order.

There are a few games that stick in the memory.
Two games at Maine Road both 1-0 wins, Rob Edwards scored a winner in the 'great escape' season live on sky on a Friday night, there wasn't many Town fans there that night either. And one time when Chris Beech scored with a belting header under Bruce.
Also the 3-2 win over Lincoln in the Auto whatever its called with the first ever golden goal ever in the world by Iain Dunne, 94/95 season I think.
Another was the 4-0 caning of Sunderland in the League Cup, 91/92 season
