i'd heard a rumour that the reason he's not been in conetntion, nor likely to be, was due to being close to triggering an automatic extension to his contract. It is unconfirmed, and may be total bollocks, but seemed to make sense. Just lately, the exits of Butterfield and Smithies, and this issue, suggests a certain amount of discontent behind closed doors - players being told they should go, players not for sale one minute but gone the next....It goes on everywhere I expect but we need as much harmony and stability as possible.. I wouldn't pay too much attention to stuff you hear on that "Down at The Mac" forum. People like me spout crap on it!

I've heard it too from a sauce. He won't play due to the clause.

I've said before - I'd rarher have Vaughan on crutches and wearing a blindfold start ahead of Miller

When the negative one says we've tried a new formation, we look to have 7 sat in our own pemalty area... even deeper than normal! I know we're defending but how deep do we want to get! Cracking strike.

Even the reserves are told t camp in the box n leave men free outside t do what they want clearly the tactics are right because he will never shoot from there and if he does etc etc etc.. get behind the ball, then what?? nothing, just get back and stand about..

Which is why it's so irritating when the powers that be kid us on saying "he's not for sale" when what they mean is "offer us more". My house isn't up for sale, but make me the right offer and I'll be out by tea time...

If Vaughan is fit then he should be given a chance, we need options up front and him playing games should help both parties up until the transfer window!
