Thought I would start a little thread just to irritate those that think I do it for effect (?really?).
Well, it seems we played well on Saturday. Lots of positive reactions etc. Think the whole world knows we need a striker so I won't mention that....
I'm sat having a curry in Manchester and thought we should really give DH some massive credit (not that he needs credit.....) get it ?
He has listened to the fans and acted. (Style of play, season tkts etc).
How lucky we are, Bolton can't even pay their players.
So Dean. Can you make it snow from now until Jan 1st, so that all the games are postponed then we can sign THAT STRIKER !
UTT
P.s class comments from Adam Clayton after the game. Top man Top player. Hope he goes all the way.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if the club actually buy a decent striker in January. Oh and a decent CB would be nice.
I suspect a similar result to previous transfer windows. Short arms, long pockets.
I wonder how much were saving with Vaughan at Brum? Top paid player for us surely? Add in Smithies, Butterfield etc and we must be saving a few quid.

I'm hoping nobody at Town before Wagner turned up has any involvement in the recruitment of any players in January.
Hopefully he has two or three quality players currently under the radar back out in Germany or Eastern Europe that we can snatch up for a great deal, will fit into HIS system not some road map or pathway.

Till then, what does it actually achieve?

Do us all a favour and wind your neck in for a bit eh...until the end of the transfer window, at least, and then let's see if you still have anything to incessantly moan about. odd time to make a change just before the loan market closes..especially if as we believe, that bloke has the contacts to bring in loan players that he knows and wants here?
just a thought on it all...

If Wagner wants some players in january,he'll get them..Dean dare not deny him - somehow I don't think Wagner will be denied, and I don't think he'll take any sh*t either..if he walked it would reflect very badly on Dean ...and to be fair Dean has said he'd back him. We'll see...meanwhile snow flakes are fluttering in Holmbridge...oh no, it's the local (Syrian owned) mill next door...

DH will spend what he can afford and what he thinks is sensible for the club long term without spiralling into the fantasy debt world of the likes of Bolton. Whatever it is you can be sure it will be more than you, me or anyone else on this message board would be prepared to shell out.

In January "there's no value to be had" so we'll wait until the summer, then in the summer "we tried but nothing was available". Same old same old. We've needed a CB and a striker for at least the last 3 transfer windows. Surely no club is that unlucky on recruitment?

For some reason we steer well away from signing a goalscoring striker - either permanently or on loan. I know they cost money but surely the message is now clear that if you dont score goals you will end up - well in League 1. I would much prefer the club spent its money on such a player rather than, has been suggested on here, they are going to reduce the cost of my season ticket next year. Whilst I appreciate that we have just played two good sides if we cannot get at least a point with 75% possession then we are struggling. We need a goal scorer NOW.

January is a month away and a few games away.. lets hope wagner has a few more points to play with by then...I hope we are playing expansive, pressing football from january still and its not against a backdrop of being in the bottom 3, that is a tough call..

I dont want to 'fire' at all... professional football is rightly or wrongly, not a big supporter of 'time'... the finances certainly are not.. I prefer to be in this division, competing to our best rather than being around the top of a lower league.. I think wagner should have been given more time to go into the loan market thats all.. the change in approach is good and what i was asking for but id rather it was sorted here than down a league.. watching boro do a job on us was frustrating but undeniably a 'quality one'....Id miss watching the all round better quality in this division..

Hope he goes all the way. Have you got a link to Clayt's comments. Clayton, whose ninth-minute strike deflected in off good mate and ex-Boro team-mate Dean Whitehead – whom he dined with on Saturday night – said: “Huddersfield are a really good team now with some good players. I don’t think they will be in trouble for much longer if they keep playing like it. “It was a very tough day at the office. “We have not had a game like that this year and we have dominated most games we have played in. Huddersfield have a new manager and way of playing and it was tough for us to deal with. But we scored at the right times and dug in. We did that a few times last season like at Norwich.” Read more: www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/huddersfield/huddersfield-town-0-middlesbrough-2-boro-s-clayton-sure-former-team-town-will-prosper-under-wagner-1-7597908#ixzz3szIKWEJg

I only hope that we stick with it, should survival in this division not be possible. However, I still have high hopes for this season.
