Probably not but I'll go
Presumido 12.35 L 4-1 Barafundle. 1.00 H. 12-1 Virak. 3.15 H. 5-1 Cloudy Bob. 1.15 A 7-1
And don't rule out sire de grugy to beat un de Sceaux who is brilliant but fallible

Not much to get excited about today but Kilcrea Vale 2.25 Ascot looks a decent e/w bet at 11/1.

I will be foregoing a Town game Saturday for a bash at Cheltenham Festival Trials Day. It will be my 6th visit for this meeting and you can usually spot the odd gem. Looking forward to see if Camping Ground can get near Thistlecrack in the Cleeve Hurdle. Anyone got anything to look out for?

I know the owners of a horse called Lily Waugh which heads to Donny on Saturday. She's on a four timer but the trip maybe a little short this time. Her real target is the festival where she hadv3 choices. On Saturday though it's not impossible she might go in.

Comment direct from the stable: Lily Runs tomorrow at Doncaster 2:05 in a Grade 2 Mares Hurdle race over 2m 1f. Interesting race, only 7 entered on good/ soft, good in places ground. Valuable £50K so worth a shot. However distance is a bit short for her, nearly 4yes since ran at 2m but the form she is you never know. My view is, she is probably a little behind the Mullins and Harringtons horses so third might a reasonable result. If you have a bet I wouldn’t go mad but worth a shot if she is 5-1 or more

That's a poor deal really isn't it - I'd much rather go to Gloucestershire

That's a poor deal really isn't it - I'd much rather go to Gloucestershire £ I will be there Tuesday and Friday but take it from me £25 sounds is a decent deal. A year ago Guinness at Cheltenham was £4.60p a pint. At the Festival it was £4.75 a pint and in November it was £5 a pint. It wouldn't surprise me at all if tomorrow it is £5.20p a pint and at the festival even more expensive. I complained to the Jockey Club owners of the course and didn't even get a reply. Gold Cup day isn't all its cracked up to be. IMO it has got gradually worse over the last 15 years. It is populated by people who are there to say they have been and know nothing at all about racing and the crush is a nightmare. Even Thursday is now a designated "Ladies Day" Ladies Day at a National Hunt meeting!!! Tuesday easily best day for racing and atmosphere.

Used to go the festival or the November meeting for a day trip, bit pricey now train and ticket in.Great sporting event to witness but festival ain't cheap however you do it.Always very busy as are all major race meetings. If you want a day on the beer and watch the racing try the Vulcan.

I've been to the Festival every year for at least a day and seen the prices raise and the value drop. I'd argue that horse racing is the least value for money of any sporting events, for a flat meeting the action may last less than a total of 20 minutes. That said the Festival is a marvellous occasion, I'll likely be there for a day again.

I don't know about Rock On The Moor, so Lily must be in with a good shout. I'm actually slightly put off now by the quote from the stable, unless they're double bluffing?!

I was in the Vulcan last year on gold cup day, basically just a pub with racing on.Busy with a good atmosphere, there were a few trays of sandwiches on later.Charge in the Vulcan? No charge but with racing I think it usual comes down to your betting to see how much the day costs.

You always think Mullins favourites are too short till they win with their heads in chests .. the guy is better at what he does than anyone else I know the owner very well, he's always straight if a little naturally pessimistic. He apologised to me when she won at Wincanton but since then they've been amazed at her form. If she's in the same form as Cheltenham she's going to go well but the main target is the festival where she has 3 potential targets with the Coral Cup favoured. You have to respect the Mullins horse and I think the view is very fair. You pays your money...
