That's a poor deal really isn't it - I'd much rather go to Gloucestershire £ I will be there Tuesday and Friday but take it from me £25 sounds is a decent deal. A year ago Guinness at Cheltenham was £4.60p a pint. At the Festival it was £4.75 a pint and in November it was £5 a pint. It wouldn't surprise me at all if tomorrow it is £5.20p a pint and at the festival even more expensive. I complained to the Jockey Club owners of the course and didn't even get a reply. Gold Cup day isn't all its cracked up to be. IMO it has got gradually worse over the last 15 years. It is populated by people who are there to say they have been and know nothing at all about racing and the crush is a nightmare. Even Thursday is now a designated "Ladies Day" Ladies Day at a National Hunt meeting!!! Tuesday easily best day for racing and atmosphere. Me and the lad have got tickets for the Grandstand on the Tuesday(only taken me 45 years to visit Mecca!!) Not keen on the fiver a pint thing, any chance of smuggling a bottle of 'water' in ??

You always think Mullins favourites are too short till they win with their heads in chests .. the guy is better at what he does than anyone else I know the owner very well, he's always straight if a little naturally pessimistic. He apologised to me when she won at Wincanton but since then they've been amazed at her form. If she's in the same form as Cheltenham she's going to go well but the main target is the festival where she has 3 potential targets with the Coral Cup favoured. You have to respect the Mullins horse and I think the view is very fair. You pays your money... Excellent prep run for Cheltenham that !!

Hope you took the 7S smad.. great run Lily JUST GOT BACK. Had probably my best ever day at Cheltenham and I must have been 60+ times. Backed Smad Place, Annacoty, Yanworth and Solstice Star and a 2nd with Waldorf Salad. For all you Racing fans if you haven't seen the racing get on Thistlecrack and Yanworth for the festival. Brilliant runs from both in testing conditions.

Desert Strike running tonight 8.15 at Chelmsford. Had a small e/w at 25/1. Back to his best distance at 5f and a class 5 race. Could get in the frame although poor draw(9). Happy Punting. Cheltenham next week. Can't wait.

Couldn't get to the front tonight . Last race one of my favourites cookie ring runs... If the pace is hot I fully expect it to win.. I'm just not sure if the pace will be hot .

Not one since Hayley Turner retired has the Strike Won. In its last 4 races it hasn't been able to get the uncontested lead it craves. Last night the writing was on the wall after a furlong.
I urge you to back it every time it runs now as it falls back down the handicap mark.(currently 74 from a top winning mark of 83). If it is in anyway in the Low 70's running over 6 or 5 furlong at Lingfield, then it will have a great chance. I guarantee you all we will have one final decent payday on this Horse before it follows in the footsteps Hayley.

Todays the day. You won't get the massive price we have been used to in the past. 6f round its favourite place, Lingfield(5.20)
Only an 8 runner affair, should get the lead and will prove a bastard to pass as they kick for home. around 5/1. A full 12lb down on its last winning mark in August and not penalised for an decent 3rd in a grade 4 last time out.
Good Luck.

6-1 Top price with Bet365 for anyone interested, it's being backed on the exchanges. Sorry Colt but I fancy it today too. Hope I don't put the mockers on it Edit- Now 6-1 with Hills, my bet must have collapsed the price with Bet365

I'll also know my fate before the race too because I've backed Bonny Kate in the 4.55 at Punchestown. Might just add an each way double just in case
