And I wonder how many were willing them to win when they were buying the championship?

Gasped out loud when that first goal of Vardy's whistled over the keeper.

I must be the only person in the country that wants them to fade down to 7th and Bournemouth to get relegated.

It would be the biggest achievement in English football history if do it. Their team (on paper) at the beginning of the season looked like your standard bottom half Premier League side. Not even the most die hard Leicester fan would have predicted a run like this. Mahrez, Vardy, Drinkwater and Kante have been exceptional. Good on em

vardy and kane for england..?? not if wellbeck is even half fit or sturridge has gone 5 minutes without being stretchered off.. add in rooney and they might just get a kick when we are in the usual shit.. can you imagine hodgson getting the england midfield to hit it into the channels without a thousand passes beforehand.. vardy and kane both going 90 minutes without a single one to run onto???

It's been about twenty fkin years, or it seems like it. Surely Roy knows Rooney's best position by now .... ?
At least we can't be embarrassed by Costa Rica winning the group.
How does that guy still have a fkin job?

I must be the only person in the country that wants them to fade down to 7th and Bournemouth to get relegated. Whilst I share everyone else's views on the Bournemouth 'fairytale' surely it would be better for us if they did stay up and Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle came down. The last thing I want is to be watching Bournemouth and Swansea spending £20m each again next year whilst bringing an away following of 500.

It would be phenomenal if they won the league and they've been playing some great football. Wasn't there something really dodgy about the way they went into admin and then came back a few years ago though?

If they win it they deserve it. Lineker would be unbearable though.

Good on em To be fair, they were on a brilliant run at the end of LAST season ( something like 8 wins out of the last 9 games !!). (and even earlier in the season, when they were losing, they actually were playing some GOOD football)

Lest we forget....
Didn't Leicester once go into administration, write off millions of debt, and then stick two fingers up at former creditors by winning promotion to the Premier League and gleefully accepting the riches that come with it?
Good luck to them, but I'm sure not everyone will be quite so thrilled by their success.

What is really annoying me at the moment is when the pundits and critics are saying that the premier league has never been as weak because of all these results by so called lesser teams.
However I definitely don't see it like that, I see it that the premier leagues other teams have finally started to spend the money, the managers are now mostly continental or have the more modern way of playing their teams.
The tactics are much, much better from the lower teams. Add that to the better quality of player that is coming through.
I actually think it's a stronger, tougher league now.
We just need to make the carling cup an u21 cup and the winner of the FA cup win champions league spot and it would be fine.
*please don't mention the disparity in money. I am aware of it but even the championship teams have better level of player and tactics.

With their money now though, they look here to stay for the foreseeable. Leicester would be a great story and a middle finger to the overspending giants - would love it.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the summer. It's been so long since an English side came into the light like this. I would usually expect the family silver to be picked clean by the financial vultures and the Foxes will slink back behind the shed within a few years with only the memories of what might have been for comfort.

Good on em I reckon what Clough did at Forest goes way beyond what Leicester might do. If Leicester win the League this season, then follow it up with back to back Champions League wins, back to back League Cups, a Charity Shield and a Super Cup then it might compare.

Sadly due to the money they and the other teams get for been relegated mean they can keep there better players and pinch all the other good championship players at inflated prices.
