Hi fellow Town fans had some sad news at work this morning.Just on my way in at 6-30 passed the smoking hut said hello to Marks brother who was on the night shift and ready for going home.Soon after he got a call to say Mark had lost his brave battle with brain cancer he had fought for the last 6 years. He was at Town in 1999-2000 in the youth academy as a left back. But suffered alot of injurys and returned to Ireland. Not long after he converted to a striker and an Irish league legend was born.I am no good with links so if someone could add Marks wikapedia page and show some of his goals as Derry Citys record goal scorer with 209 goals i would be grateful.Thanks.

Had many a friend play with Mark at Derry City and Glenavon. My Facebook has been awash with tributes to him all day. Played against Mark when I was at Linfield Vs Derry City in the Setanta Cup. Good Irish league player too. Mark Farren
