I agree. You have to question his judgement going to Valencia though and taking up a managerial post. Obviously not any easy turnaround project. I think there is a lot going on there politically and certainly before the barca game the ire of the fans was directed to the board not the gaffer .. can you imagine the reaction on datv though ? Untried foreign gaffer comes in and proceeds to lose every week .. can't be good but TBH not sure many gaffers could have turned it round Think he needs to get them training Sunday-Friday 2 sessions a day.

I said it about referee Darren Deadman the other week .. he slipped on a packet of Ringo's whilst shopping for moccasins and sprained his ankle.. I must be a jinx

You think he is having a mare? I had £100 on Valencia at 33/1 last night...they played well last weekend despite losing. That's just daft

Brilliant pundit, probably the best ever, but it just goes to show how easy it is for us all to call it from outside... doing it is a very different matter. True, though some might not think that much of them as pundits the likes of Lawro and Shearer have been more successful at it than they ever were in coaching roles.

Barcelona on a really good night...Town scored 5 against Charlton on a really good night.. it happens.. Wagner gets time to sort out a bit of a mess, neville just chose the wrong mess..

Took over a club with big expectations but not the players to match, in a foreign country he's never played in, where he doesn't speak the language, half way through a campaign as his first gig in management. I can see the lure but perhaps not the wisest choice.

Too slow. You've lost your touch since you lost your thread. I'm a broken man ... I feel like the old Terry the terrier I remember that. What was that, around 2009/2010?

Dean appointing Wagner was bold, giving Neville this job was just plain daft. Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

Valencia should have gone for someone like AVB, tried and tested.

It's not as easy as many make out. Funnily enough there's an opposition manager with similar thoughts!

Valencia are a steadily sinking ship I've heard doesn't matter who they have in charge Goes back years mate. I was in Valencia testing the Jabulani balls in 2010. They were building the New Mestalla, but stopped building it because of lack of funds.

I'm not a gambler, by the way, just interested in why you would take that price.

If they played again tomorrow the bookies would give Valencia at 50/1...it would still be value. The "cash outs" are cons, bookies stealing more margin. If i think a price is wrong or out i pinch a bit of it...Giants 16/1 for the grand final for example. Gambling is only about value..get value on your side and you will win long term...otherwise the reverse is true. Pro gamblers also have long losing runs...its just they understand "value".

Gary Neville is a tool, granted he knows his shit but he doesn't half go in a bit. He comes across as a right control freak.
