Perhaps DH watched "and then there were none.." at Xmas...Miller could be last man standing...or to be more accurate, falling lamely on his arse ......but you would have thought Miller would be the first domino to fall. He's have to get into a position to fall first!

I think after the hundreds of hours Clibbo spent formulating one of the most elaborate pricing structures ever seen at town only to see it blown to smithereens by the fans desire for simplicity and deans agreement to scrap the whole pricing structure, Clibbo has taken the huff. It became a bit of a personal issue for him,and he was constantly posting on the Town website detailed analysis of how prices were actually cheaper than what we thought. I had one of two not very amiable discussions with him but he would never accept there was another way.

I just find it a bit sad that folk seem to be lining up not only ready to stick the knife in but eager to twist it too with nothing more than pure speculation.
He's gone now, time to move on.

Always more of a CFO to me.

That's a point Clibbo never really understood - these forums are designed for pure and idle speculation. PS Nice job on getting rid of all those images that used to sit under your post. We can get twice as much idle speculation per page now.

Met Nigel Clibbens several times at Q&A's and he came over to have a chat with me when he spotted me at the Fulham v Town FA Youth Cup semi a couple of seasons ago. I can only go on what I saw of him and he seemed like a decent bloke to me. Best of luck Nigel.
So, Town move on.

For some reason it still amuses me that he's a massive fan of The Fall.

Saying Butterfield is for sale or not is absolutely irrelevant. Jacob Butterfield wanted to leave this football club, thats not an opinion, that's an absolute fact. It depends if you believe what DH said after the sale. I don't frankly, I think it was pure and simple PR to quell the anger amongst fans.
Butterfield said he'd remain committed to Huddersfield Town and the team. He also, as said earlier, put in 2 man of the match performances, apparently weeks after he wanted to leave Huddersfield Town and had no wish to play for them anymore.
Why did he have to be persuaded to board the bus to Fulham then if he was so committed?

I am sure there was a Spitting Image sketch with John Gielgud which referred to things being gone...might apply to Clibens...imagine SMJ and DH sharing a malt and reminiscing ..I am sure that someone will add the link...

Thank you for all your efforts & all the very best for the future Nigel.
Whatever the reasons for his departure I am most interested in who now replaces him though?

Were you expecting an answer??? Where do you start? Wherever you like. As I've mentioned earlier, I've no real opinion one way or the other on the guy, so I'm just curious why some people have such strident views.

Exactly. Time to move on. Folk will think it's a shame he's gone with nothing more than pure speculation too. Personally I think it's a big thing in the club moving forwards for a number of reasons, my opinion based on things other than speculation. Not about to rubbish him on here after he's left though. Onwards and upwards.

I heard from reasonably good source within the UK industry (not Ben) that NC screwed the price down so much on the installation of the training pitches at canalside ( wanting a £3m job for under £2m) that corners had to be cut and they may not last half as long as they should do and so will cost the club/DH a lot more in the long run.
Maybe Dean had found out and fell it with him?

Not a fan of Clibbins. The times I've spoken with him he was rude (which was only twice - don't tolerate rudeness) and aloof. He also treated a very close friend of mine despicably after an incident at Canalside which opened my eyes to him and a couple of others at the club. I'm glad he's gone.
