Positive Never mentions the opposition, just focuses on what we do. Always looking to attack and take the game to the opposition. Improves what we have Smith, Hudson, wells, lolley are unrecognisable from the plodding hesitant and at times simply poor players we saw previously. Personable, passionate and tactically astute Great in the media, and his reactions after the match tonight spoke volumes. Evidence of using different styles at different times to counter the opposition and make us better.
I had stopped going away much until this fella came along - same old story far too often, and negative boring tactics plus expensive tickets and I simply found other stuff to do. Not anymore - my lad is absolutely buzzing tonight and bring on the next match. At the moment, it might be frustrating - pne was unbelievably so, but the football is great on the eye and give this guy some backing this summer and the future is looking good. Until then, wherever possible I'm going to go home and away to cheer us on .......the players and manager deserve it.

Great post match today, great comments re Billing that he's miles from finished product. The difference from old Powell is silly.

I'm not one of those fans who expects us to win every week but at least now we attempt it. And by concentrating on what we do rather than on the opposition. It's so bloody refreshing. My Saturday night curry and beer taste even sweeter tonight.

The OP's mention of Wagner's performance in interviews etc raises a question... Will Pornovision bother showing his post match interview tonight? I think they've shown ONE interview since he took over...

Agree shawsie - though the key difference with Lolley is he's allowed to play!

Thats why I was happy he didn't spend in January.
What he's done with these individual players is special.
I want all the money available to be spent at the best time - the summer - he gets who he wants, has a full preseason - and we come out flying.
This season is becoming really enjoyable watching the development - next season could be something special if we add a sprinkling of real quality on top of what he's already doing.

Doesn't it excite you the way he's getting a Huddersfield Town team playing? Yes we've had a poor run but generally his results have been good and his performances have been 90% fantastic. Enjoy it!

Does anyone know what 'the second line' is? He mentioned Forest only having chances from the second line, and how he has been telling Billing to shoot from the second line. Does he mean, from outside the penalty area? Or does he mean the Subbuteo shooting line? Dont know if this is right, but my dad once mentioned that the Subbuteo shooting line came from German football, where they experimented where you could only be offside beyond that line, rather than the halfway line that was adopted...dont know if thats right?! (but its kind of where Billing scores from).

I see town games very differently to most hear, middlesbrough is a fine example of that. I watched a team happy to sit back and let us pass it about at the back, and then counter us and grab a goal. There had they tactics spot on, while others thought we should of won. But like i say i think hes doing well, just dont want to join in the love fest.

Smith best performance I've seen from him and husband also a fine game. Hogg says they've been concentrating on it. It showed. Frigging Magic

Well youre seeing it wrong IMO. Boro weren't happy at all. They were clinging on and as much as they tried, unable to get any foothold in the game. It certainly wasn't their tactics to defend by the skin of their teeth, fail to keep the ball for more than a few seconds at a time and be totally dominated throughout, but then score with a huge deflection and add another on the break when we were piling forward near the end. It was a freak result and proof if ever it was needed that the best team doesn't always win in football.
Great performance today. Got on top right from the start and but for a 10 minute spell mid 2nd half, we never looked like not being on top of the game. Thats away against a team bang on form and pushing for the play-offs! We had some cracking performances today. Hogg was immense, Lynch, Lolley too but in Billing we may have discovered a real player. Not just the goal but his overall performance oozed quality. And Smith, who has had more than his fair share of criticism on here, some justified and some not IMO. But today he was really good. defended well and had a hell of a lot of the ball and used it very well most of the time.

Our owner wont back him and he will move on sorry i think hes doing a good job. just don't want to join in this love in, we have only won one in what 5? What 'love-in'? Folk are just chuffed that we've a Mgr that's changing the culture at the club & in turn that will reap its rewards... If you can't see that it's a culture change across the club then I don't think there's anything that'll get you out of whatever rut you're in... The culture change Wagner brings is also quite in harmony with Hoyles keenness to do this without going daft. Doesn't mean he won't back him, probably the total opposite when DH can see this bloke wants to build success as best he can from within... If you've a general downer on the Chairman then maybe you should consider a team that has a Chairman that throws money around like confetti. Might not be successful but at least he'll be a 'decent' Chairman eh... Not sure how old you are, but this club might just be on the cusp of something remarkable when compared with the last 40-odd yrs...

Cool in possession. A fantastic first touch. Likes a tackle. Good on the air. And what a chuffing goal. UTT

Second from last game shown no interviews, rather watch BBC Football League Show at midnight with Claridge than this Channel 5 shit.

Hi all new to the site.Really pleased with the the progression we have made under Mr Wagner and I feel this is only the begining. Dean Hoyle has said recently that he has got his mojo back and going to back the new coach. Fingers crossed this will happen, sure it will , in Deano we trust . Told a friend of mine at a recent dinner that next season he is going to have a go .Read into this what you like but sounds exciting to me .

Having a star manager easily is >>> having multiple flashy wasters who invariably feel they deserve better than HTAFC every transfer window.

Well next 3 games are very winnable, lets see if we can be more consistent, because when we do ill start getting existed.

But what was the Boro game, Wagner's second game in charge I believe!? We lost that game yes, but the fact that he had us playing the way we did in that game, with 70% plus possession against the best team in the division at that point was nothing short of a minor miracle!!! You see games different to us yes, because on the face of it unlike the vast majority, for some reason you are looking for us to fail!!?

Consistency is very difficult in this league, as even Derby and Middlesbrough are finding out. If we manage 4 points from the next 2 "winnable" games, that will be good, in my opinion.

Really enjoying reading this thread then guess what you come along? Come on the turn around with these same players on performances has been nothing short of amazing. Yes I know we have not had the right results lately, but sometimes you really have to look at the full picture. As for Wagner moving on I some how doubt it as Deano will back him and Wagner likes the idea of building up something special which he should get time here to achieve unlike many other clubs out their who want success Yesterday!
